Municipal water/wastewater experience would be a plus but not required.
HR Green’s Industrial Water/Wastewater Practice is on an aggressive growth path and works with some of the world’s largest food and beverage and dairy producers on their facilities located in the continental United States. We are 100+ employees strong in the water/wastewater practice with 8+ employees residing in the industrial water group and growing.
As a Sr. Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing technical depth and client presence/interaction to solve their challenges as it relates to their water/wastewater infrastructure and build trust. You’ll also lead and mentor a team of mid-level and young engineers while engaging with your senior level peer group to deliver successful projects, on budget and schedule.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and deliver industrial water and wastewater projects from early concept through planning, design, permitting, and construction, within budget and on schedule.
- Partner directly with clients - visiting sites, troubleshooting challenges, and providing technical and cost-effective solutions to meet operational or regulatory needs and challenges.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, building relationships with key decision-makers and identifying opportunities to support their short-term and long-term needs.
- Work with Practice Builder and Strategic Client Manager to identify resource and skills need for the Practice and participate in strategic discussions to grow the business.
- Help win new work by leading pursuits, developing proposals, and participating in client interviews.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, growing the next generation of talent.
What You Bring

- Strong project management experience delivering successful projects.
- Strong people management skills to provide a positive and empowering environment for the project team.
- A balance of technical expertise + client-facing confidence with ability to build relationships and create opportunities for future work.
- Ability to step onto a site, assess a situation, and provide thoughtful, practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust.
What Makes This Role Different
- Career Growth Opportunity – We’re investing in expanding our industrial water/wastewater practice, and you’ll play a key role in shaping that growth with career growth opportunities and succession planning.
- Seller + Doer Balance – Be able to be external facing and leading teams internally to provide a good balance between selling work and leading work.
- Hands-On Impact – Stay close to the work while increasing your influence.
- Strong Team, Room to Grow – Join an established team with leadership support, while helping us build what’s next.
- Cutting-Edge Projects – From mechanical treatment systems to innovative technologies, you’ll work on meaningful, forward-looking solutions.

How to Get Visa Sponsorship in HR Green H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical and engineering roles
HR Green's H-1B sponsorships concentrate in civil, environmental, and infrastructure engineering. Prioritize roles with clear degree requirements in a specific discipline, as these align best with H-1B specialty occupation standards and face fewer complications during petition review.
Verify sponsorship before applying
Not every job posting at a consulting firm confirms visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time you'd otherwise spend chasing roles that quietly exclude international candidates.
Understand the consulting firm hiring cycle
Professional services firms like HR Green often hire on a project-needs basis. Align your application to HR Green's active project pipeline, and be prepared to discuss how your technical skills directly support billable work from day one.
Confirm H-1B intent early in the process
Bring up your H-1B sponsorship need before or during the first interview. Consulting firms with established immigration programs appreciate candidates who are transparent, and it prevents late-stage surprises that can delay or derail an offer.
Prepare for specialty occupation documentation
HR Green's H-1B petitions require demonstrating that the role demands a specialized degree. Have your credentials, transcripts, and any equivalency evaluations ready. Consulting roles in engineering generally meet the bar, but documentation quality matters.
Follow the H-1B lottery calendar closely
HR Green must submit H-1B registrations in USCIS's annual lottery window, typically in March. Plan your job search so you have an offer finalized well before that window opens, giving HR Green's immigration team enough time to prepare your filing.

Does HR Green sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, HR Green sponsors H-1B visas. The firm operates in consulting and professional services, primarily hiring engineers and technical specialists in infrastructure, civil, and environmental disciplines, categories that meet H-1B specialty occupation requirements. International candidates in those fields can pursue H-1B sponsorship through HR Green's established immigration process.
Which roles at HR Green are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at HR Green is most common in engineering and technical consulting positions, including civil, structural, environmental, and transportation engineering roles. These positions typically require a specific bachelor's degree or higher, satisfying the specialty occupation standard that underpins every H-1B petition.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at HR Green?
Once HR Green extends an offer, their HR and legal team initiates the H-1B petition process. This includes filing a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor and submitting Form I-129 to USCIS. Your role is to provide accurate employment and credential documentation promptly so filings can meet USCIS deadlines.
How do I plan my job search timeline for H-1B sponsorship at HR Green?
The H-1B cap lottery runs once a year, with registrations typically due in March for an October start date. To work backward, aim to secure an offer from HR Green at least two to three months before the registration window. Migrate Mate can help you identify HR Green openings with confirmed sponsorship so you start your search efficiently.
What can I do to strengthen my H-1B sponsorship application at HR Green?
Focus on roles where your degree field directly matches the job description, as this is the core of the specialty occupation argument. Have official transcripts and, if your degree is from outside the U.S., a credential evaluation ready. Being proactive about documentation and responsive during the petition preparation process significantly reduces delays.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at HR Green?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
