How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Infosys H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles aligned with Infosys's core service lines
Infosys sponsors H-1B visas primarily for technology and consulting roles. Focus your applications on software engineering, data engineering, cloud architecture, and IT consulting positions, where sponsorship is a standard part of the hiring process.
Apply early in the hiring cycle
Infosys recruits well ahead of the H-1B cap season, which runs April through March. Submitting applications in the fall or winter gives your petition the best chance of being filed before the April 1 window opens.
Be direct about your visa status upfront
Infosys's recruiters handle high application volumes. Clearly stating that you need H-1B sponsorship in your application avoids delays and ensures you're routed to a team equipped to process international candidates.
Use a platform that filters by verified sponsorship history
Not every job listing at a large employer reflects active sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on Infosys roles that are genuinely open to H-1B candidates.
Highlight specialized technical skills in your application
Infosys uses H-1B sponsorship selectively for roles requiring specialty occupation qualifications. Emphasizing niche expertise in areas like AI, cybersecurity, or enterprise software strengthens your case for a position that justifies sponsorship.
Understand that Infosys manages the H-1B petition process internally
As a large Technology and Software employer, Infosys has an established in-house immigration team. Once an offer is extended, they typically handle LCA filing and petition preparation, but confirm the timeline with your recruiter at the offer stage.

Does Infosys sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Infosys sponsors H-1B visas and is among the most active H-1B sponsors in the United States. The company regularly files petitions for technology and consulting professionals and has a dedicated immigration team that manages the sponsorship process for qualifying hires.
Which roles and departments at Infosys typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Infosys is most common in software engineering, systems analysis, data science, cloud infrastructure, and IT consulting. These roles fall clearly within the specialty occupation definition that H-1B requires, making them the strongest candidates for sponsorship. Business operations and administrative roles are far less likely to qualify.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Infosys?
Once Infosys extends a job offer, their internal immigration team takes over the H-1B petition process. They file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submit Form I-129 to USCIS. Your main responsibility is providing accurate documentation promptly. Confirm with your recruiter whether your role is designated for cap-subject or cap-exempt filing.
How do I estimate the H-1B sponsorship timeline at Infosys?
The timeline depends on when you receive your offer relative to the H-1B cap cycle. If Infosys files under the standard cap, petitions are submitted around April 1 with employment typically starting October 1. Premium processing, if selected, can reduce USCIS adjudication to around 15 business days. Ask your recruiter which processing track Infosys uses for your role.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Infosys as an international candidate?
Searching general job boards can make it hard to know which listings are genuinely open to sponsored candidates. Migrate Mate lets you filter directly for Infosys H-1B roles based on verified sponsorship history, so you're not wasting applications on positions that won't move forward for international applicants. Focus on technology and consulting roles where Infosys's sponsorship track record is strongest.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Infosys?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
