Align your degree to Lennox's specialty occupations
Lennox H-1B filings concentrate in mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering. Before applying, map your degree field directly to the job description's stated requirements. USCIS requires the role to demand a specific bachelor's degree, so a mismatch between your field and the job title is the fastest path to an RFE.
Target Lennox's product engineering and R&D teams
Lennox's core H-1B roles sit inside product development, thermal systems engineering, and controls software. Applying to these teams rather than general manufacturing or operations roles puts you in the part of the org where international hiring decisions are already normalized and immigration counsel is routinely engaged.
Check prevailing wage before your offer negotiation
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the wage level for your occupation code and the metro area where the Lennox facility is located. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the certified prevailing wage on the LCA, so knowing the floor before negotiating prevents late-stage filing complications.
Confirm Lennox's E-Verify enrollment early
As a federal contractor in the manufacturing sector, Lennox is enrolled in E-Verify. That enrollment is a prerequisite for STEM OPT extension if you're currently on F-1 OPT, and it signals that Lennox's HR team is already set up to process work authorization documentation without delays at onboarding.
Use Migrate Mate to research Lennox's LCA filing history
Search Lennox on Migrate Mate to review its Labor Condition Application filings by job title, work location, and wage level. This shows you which roles have active LCA certifications and which Lennox sites have sponsored before, so you can prioritize applications where the sponsorship infrastructure already exists.
Time your application around the H-1B cap and your OPT end date
If you're on OPT, file your H-1B registration in March so a cap-gap can cover the gap between your OPT expiration and the October 1 start date. Lennox's HR team will need your I-20 and EAD details well before registration opens, so surface the timeline to your recruiter during offer discussions.
Lennox H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lennox sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Lennox sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles, primarily in engineering, product development, and technical functions tied to its HVAC and climate-control manufacturing business. Sponsorship is not available for all positions, so candidates should confirm with the recruiter during the hiring process whether a specific role is eligible.
Which departments at Lennox typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Lennox is most common in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls and software development, and thermal systems roles. Operations, logistics, and general manufacturing positions are less likely to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which require the role to demand a specific bachelor's degree or higher.
How do I start the H-1B process once Lennox extends an offer?
After accepting an offer, Lennox's HR or immigration team will engage outside immigration counsel to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submit the H-1B petition to USCIS. You'll need to provide your academic credentials, passport, and prior immigration documents. The employer drives the filing; your job is to respond to document requests promptly.
How long does the H-1B process take at Lennox?
The standard H-1B timeline runs from March registration through an October 1 start date for cap-subject cases. If selected in the lottery, petition filing typically happens between April and June. USCIS standard processing can take several months, though Lennox's counsel may use premium processing to accelerate adjudication to around 15 business days when timing is critical.
How do I find open H-1B roles at Lennox?
Search Lennox on Migrate Mate to see current job listings filtered by H-1B sponsorship history, role type, and work location. Focusing on engineering and product development openings in facilities where Lennox has filed LCAs before gives you the strongest signal that sponsorship is a real option for that specific position.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Lennox?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
