Align your specialty with community hospital needs
Lifepoint Health® operates community hospitals in underserved markets, so specialties like internal medicine, hospitalist care, and behavioral health see consistent demand. Target your application toward these gaps rather than subspecialties concentrated in academic medical centers, where their hiring focus is weaker.
Verify your occupation qualifies as specialty
H-1B eligibility requires your role to demand a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Pull your job title's O*NET profile to confirm the degree requirement before applying, since certain allied health titles can fall outside specialty occupation definitions if duties are broadly defined.
Request an LCA before your start date is set
Lifepoint Health®'s HR teams must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can receive your H-1B petition. Ask your recruiter early in negotiations whether LCA certification is already underway, as DOL processing adds time even when everything else is ready.
Benchmark your offered salary against prevailing wage
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for your specific occupation code and the county where your Lifepoint facility is located. If your offer is at or just above Level I, understand that any future promotion may require a new LCA at a higher wage tier.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Lifepoint sponsorship roles
Search Migrate Mate to surface Lifepoint Health® job listings filtered by verified H-1B sponsorship history. This lets you target facilities and departments where the company has a documented record of filing H-1B petitions, rather than applying broadly and asking HR cold.
Confirm premium processing availability before accepting
USCIS offers premium processing for most H-1B petitions, reducing adjudication to 15 business days. Before signing an offer, clarify whether Lifepoint Health® will pay the premium processing fee or expects you to absorb it, since start-date flexibility varies by department and facility.
Lifepoint Health® H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lifepoint Health® sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Lifepoint Health® sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying clinical and allied health roles. Sponsorship is typically initiated by the hiring facility's HR team in coordination with outside immigration counsel. Roles that require a specific degree in a directly related field, such as physicians and specialized allied health professionals, are the most common candidates for sponsorship.
Which roles and departments at Lifepoint Health® typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Lifepoint Health® is concentrated in clinical roles where a specialized degree is a firm requirement: physicians, hospitalists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and certain diagnostic imaging professionals. Administrative or generalist roles are less likely to qualify, since H-1B requires the position itself to demand a specific bachelor's degree or higher.
How do I start the H-1B sponsorship process at Lifepoint Health®?
Raise sponsorship during the offer stage, not after signing. Lifepoint Health®'s HR team will coordinate with immigration counsel to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL, then submit your H-1B petition to USCIS. You'll need to provide credential documentation, including your degree certificates and any required clinical licensure for your state and specialty.
How do I find open H-1B roles at Lifepoint Health®?
Migrate Mate lists Lifepoint Health® job openings filtered by verified H-1B sponsorship history, so you can focus on facilities and departments where sponsorship is a documented practice. You can also search Lifepoint's careers portal directly and ask recruiters about sponsorship eligibility during the initial screening call before investing time in the full application process.
How long does the H-1B process take at Lifepoint Health®?
From offer acceptance to an approved H-1B petition, the process typically spans several months. DOL must certify the Labor Condition Application first, which usually takes seven business days. USCIS standard processing then adds several additional months, though premium processing can reduce adjudication to 15 business days. Cap-subject petitions are also subject to the annual April lottery window.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Lifepoint Health®?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
