How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Maimonides Medical Center H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target clinical and research departments directly
Maimonides Medical Center's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in clinical medicine, nursing, and research. Applying to departments with documented sponsorship history improves your odds significantly over applying to administrative or general support roles.
Confirm sponsorship willingness before applying
Not every open role at Maimonides Medical Center includes H-1B sponsorship. Contact the HR or recruitment team early to verify whether a specific position is eligible for sponsorship before investing time in a full application.
Prepare your credentials for U.S. medical standards
Maimonides Medical Center operates under strict U.S. healthcare licensing requirements. Ensure your international medical credentials, board certifications, or nursing licenses are validated or in the process of U.S. equivalency review before reaching out.
Use a verified sponsorship job platform to find open roles
Generic job boards don't filter by real sponsorship history. Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B sponsors so you can identify Maimonides Medical Center openings with confirmed sponsorship activity, saving time on roles that won't support your visa.
Understand Maimonides Medical Center's H-1B timeline
Healthcare H-1B sponsorships involve licensing verification, credentialing, and USCIS filing windows. Align your job search timeline so an offer can realistically be converted into an H-1B petition before your current visa status expires or changes.
Leverage specialty occupation documentation for healthcare roles
H-1B petitions for healthcare positions require clear documentation that the role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Work with Maimonides Medical Center's immigration counsel to ensure your job duties and degree requirements are documented precisely for USCIS approval.

Does Maimonides Medical Center sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Maimonides Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying positions. The Brooklyn-based hospital has an active sponsorship program, primarily supporting clinical and research professionals. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role and department, so confirming with the HR team during the hiring process is essential.
Which roles and departments at Maimonides Medical Center typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Maimonides Medical Center is most common in physician and medical officer roles, registered nursing, clinical research, pharmacy, and specialized allied health positions. Administrative and non-clinical support roles are less likely to qualify, as H-1B requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard under USCIS criteria.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Maimonides Medical Center?
Once Maimonides Medical Center extends a conditional offer, their HR and legal teams typically coordinate with an immigration attorney to file your H-1B petition. You'll need to provide credential documentation, a valid job offer letter, and evidence of your qualifying degree. The employer handles the USCIS filing directly on your behalf.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Maimonides Medical Center?
The timeline depends on USCIS processing and whether premium processing is used. Standard processing can take several months after the April lottery selection window. Healthcare roles also require additional credentialing steps, which can extend overall timelines. Factor in at least six to twelve months from job offer to approved status in the best-case scenario.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Maimonides Medical Center as an international applicant?
Start by identifying roles that match your clinical or research background, then verify sponsorship eligibility before applying. Migrate Mate lists employers with verified H-1B sponsorship history, including healthcare institutions like Maimonides Medical Center, so you can focus your search on positions with a genuine path to visa support rather than guessing from generic job listings.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Maimonides Medical Center?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
