Job Roles at Marsh
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Marsh H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles that align with specialty occupation criteria
Marsh's H-1B approvals concentrate in roles requiring a specific degree field, such as actuarial science, data analytics, risk consulting, and technology. Focus your applications on positions where your degree directly matches the job requirements.
Engage Marsh's campus and early-career recruiting programs
Marsh actively recruits through graduate programs at target universities. Connecting with their campus recruiting team early signals genuine interest and gives you visibility before competitive roles are publicly posted.
Understand Marsh's H-1B sponsorship timeline
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October start date. Align your Marsh offer and start date negotiations around this window to avoid gaps in work authorization or costly cap-gap complications.
Highlight consulting and risk management specialization in your application
Marsh values deep subject matter expertise over generalist profiles. Demonstrating specialized knowledge in risk advisory, insurance consulting, or financial analytics strengthens both your candidacy and the specialty occupation argument for H-1B approval.
Research Marsh's verified sponsorship history before applying
Confirming a company's real sponsorship track record saves time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by actual sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Marsh and similar professional services firms with confidence.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in the interview process
Marsh recruiters handle H-1B questions regularly in consulting and professional services hiring. Raise your visa status early, after initial interest is established, so both sides can align on timelines and avoid surprises later in the process.

Does Marsh sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Marsh sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in risk consulting, data analytics, actuarial services, and technology. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so it is important to confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter during the hiring process.
Which roles and departments at Marsh typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Marsh tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized degree-level expertise, including risk analysts, actuaries, data scientists, technology specialists, and management consultants. Corporate functions such as finance and quantitative research may also qualify, depending on the specific position and degree alignment.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Marsh?
Once Marsh extends an offer, their HR and legal teams initiate the H-1B petition process, typically working with an external immigration law firm. You will need to provide academic credentials, employment history, and supporting documentation. The employer handles USCIS filing directly, but staying organized and responsive accelerates the process significantly.
How do I plan my timeline when applying for H-1B sponsorship at Marsh?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so offers ideally need to be finalized well before that window. If you are currently on OPT or STEM OPT, coordinate your authorization expiration with Marsh's HR team to ensure continuous work eligibility throughout the transition.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Marsh as an international applicant?
Searching for sponsoring employers can be time-consuming without the right tools. Migrate Mate aggregates verified H-1B sponsors, including professional services firms like Marsh, so you can identify and apply to roles where sponsorship is confirmed rather than guessing from generic job boards. Pairing that with direct outreach to Marsh's recruiting team improves your chances significantly.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Marsh?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
