Target roles that match H-1B specialty occupation criteria
Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B visas primarily for roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Focus on software engineering, cloud security, data science, and product management positions where your degree directly aligns with the job requirements.
Apply well before the H-1B lottery registration window
H-1B registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. Securing an offer at Palo Alto Networks by January or February gives HR and immigration counsel enough time to prepare your petition before the registration deadline.
Be upfront about your visa status during the interview process
Palo Alto Networks has an established immigration program, so disclosing your H-1B need early avoids surprises. Recruiters in the technology sector are accustomed to sponsorship conversations and can route you to the right hiring tracks.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching for open roles
Not every job posting clarifies sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm Palo Alto Networks roles are genuinely open to H-1B candidates before you apply.
Understand the difference between new H-1B petitions and transfers
If you're already on H-1B status with another employer, Palo Alto Networks can file an H-1B transfer, which isn't subject to the lottery. Highlight your current H-1B status early so the recruiting team knows your timeline is more flexible.
Leverage Palo Alto Networks's cybersecurity specialization in your application
The company operates at the intersection of cloud, AI, and network security. Candidates with credentials or experience in these areas are particularly competitive for H-1B-sponsored roles, so frame your background around the company's core technical focus.
Palo Alto Networks H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Palo Alto Networks sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles. The company has an active immigration program and regularly works with outside immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions. Sponsorship is most common for technical and specialized positions in engineering, security research, and product development, where candidates hold relevant degrees.
Which roles and departments at Palo Alto Networks typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Palo Alto Networks is concentrated in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity research, data science, and technical product management. These roles meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard because they require a degree in a specific field directly related to the job. Business and sales roles are sponsored less frequently.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Palo Alto Networks?
Once you receive and accept an offer, Palo Alto Networks's HR team connects you with their immigration counsel to begin the H-1B process. For cap-subject petitions, the employer registers you in the USCIS lottery each March. If selected, the full petition is filed by the June 30 deadline. Existing H-1B holders can transfer without going through the lottery.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Palo Alto Networks?
Start by filtering for roles in engineering and security on Palo Alto Networks's careers page. For job seekers who want to confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying, Migrate Mate tracks verified H-1B sponsors and lets you search Palo Alto Networks roles alongside their actual sponsorship history, saving time in your job search.
What timeline should I expect for H-1B sponsorship at Palo Alto Networks?
For a new H-1B cap-subject petition, expect a timeline of six to twelve months from registration to your October 1 employment start date. Premium processing can shorten USCIS adjudication to around fifteen business days after filing, but lottery registration still happens in March. Internal transfers from another employer on H-1B status typically move faster, often within two to three months.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Palo Alto Networks?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
