Job Roles at Paul Hastings
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Paul Hastings H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target practice groups that hire internationally
Paul Hastings's transactional and litigation practice groups frequently hire foreign-educated lawyers. Research which departments have historically brought on international associates, as those teams are most familiar with H-1B sponsorship workflows and timelines.
Understand the law firm H-1B timeline
Law firms operate on associate hiring cycles tied to bar admission and summer programs. Aligning your H-1B cap filing window with Paul Hastings's recruitment calendar, typically starting in late summer for October 1 start dates, is critical.
Confirm sponsorship willingness early in the process
Legal employers vary on H-1B policy by office and practice group. Raise sponsorship directly with the recruiting team before your final-round interview so you're not surprised after receiving an offer.
Emphasize specialized legal expertise
Paul Hastings recruits for specialty occupation roles in areas like mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and employment law. Demonstrating deep subject-matter expertise strengthens both your hire case and the H-1B specialty occupation argument.
Use verified sponsorship data when job searching
Not every Paul Hastings posting mentions visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus applications on roles where H-1B support is confirmed.
Prepare your credentials documentation early
For foreign law degrees, Paul Hastings will need credential evaluations as part of the H-1B specialty occupation petition. Securing an accredited evaluation well before your offer stage prevents delays in the petition filing process.

Does Paul Hastings sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Paul Hastings sponsors H-1B visas. The firm supports international candidates in attorney and professional staff roles, and has an established track record of filing H-1B petitions. Sponsorship decisions are typically made at the practice group and office level, so confirming early with the recruiting team is advisable.
Which roles at Paul Hastings typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Paul Hastings is most common for associate attorneys in transactional and litigation practice groups, as well as certain business services positions requiring specialized degrees. Roles in areas such as corporate law, finance, and employment law have historically been strong candidates for H-1B support given their specialty occupation requirements.
How do I apply for H-1B sponsorship at Paul Hastings?
After receiving a job offer, Paul Hastings's legal and HR teams coordinate the H-1B petition with outside immigration counsel. The employer files Form I-129 with USCIS on your behalf, preceded by a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. For cap-subject cases, the process begins with registration in the annual H-1B lottery in March.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Paul Hastings?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find H-1B positions at Paul Hastings, as it filters opportunities by verified sponsorship history so you're not wasting time on roles that won't support your visa. You can also check Paul Hastings's careers page directly, but confirmed sponsorship details are rarely listed in individual job postings.
What is the typical H-1B sponsorship timeline at Paul Hastings?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, Paul Hastings must register in the USCIS lottery in March, with approved petitions having an October 1 start date. The full timeline from offer to work authorization runs roughly six to eight months for standard processing, or faster with premium processing. Cap-exempt situations, such as transfers from another H-1B employer, can proceed on a shorter timeline.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Paul Hastings?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
