Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Safelite H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target Safelite's technology and corporate teams
Safelite's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in roles like software engineering, data analytics, and IT infrastructure that support its national operations platform. Field technician and glass repair roles don't qualify as specialty occupations, so focus your applications on corporate and tech positions.
Verify your role meets specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to demand at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Use O*NET to confirm your target job title at Safelite carries a Job Zone 4 or 5 classification, which strengthens the specialty occupation argument during adjudication.
Research Safelite's prevailing wage tier before negotiating
Before your offer stage, run the OFLC Wage Search for your job title and Safelite's work location. The Labor Condition Application must certify a wage at or above the prevailing rate, so knowing that floor helps you negotiate a competitive offer without jeopardizing the filing.
Confirm H-1B sponsorship intent early in interviews
Safelite's recruiting process for corporate roles may not surface sponsorship availability until late stages. Ask directly during the first recruiter screen whether the specific role and hiring team are approved for H-1B sponsorship, so you don't invest multiple interview rounds in a position that can't proceed.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Safelite LCA filings
Before applying, use Migrate Mate to review Safelite's Labor Condition Application history by job title and location. That DOL filing data shows which roles and offices have actively sponsored H-1B workers, so you can target the positions most likely to move forward with a filing.
Prepare for cap-subject filing deadlines at Safelite
If you're not already in H-1B status, Safelite must register you in the annual USCIS lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. Align your job search timeline so you have an offer secured well before the March registration window to avoid a one-year delay.
Safelite H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Safelite sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Safelite sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is focused on corporate and technology positions, such as software engineering, data analytics, and IT roles that support Safelite's national operations. Field-based auto glass technician roles are not H-1B eligible because they don't meet the specialty occupation degree requirement under USCIS guidelines.
Which departments at Safelite are most likely to sponsor H-1B visas?
Safelite's technology, data, and corporate strategy teams are the most likely sources of H-1B sponsorship. Roles in software development, business intelligence, supply chain analytics, and enterprise IT fall within the specialty occupation definition USCIS requires. Operations and field service roles are generally not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I find out if a specific Safelite role qualifies for H-1B sponsorship?
Check the job description for a minimum bachelor's degree requirement in a specific field, which is the baseline USCIS requires for specialty occupation classification. You can also use Migrate Mate to review Safelite's Labor Condition Application filings by job title, which shows which roles have historically moved through the H-1B process.
How do I navigate the H-1B filing process once Safelite extends an offer?
After accepting an offer, Safelite's HR or immigration team will work with an external immigration attorney to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submit Form I-129 to USCIS. If you're subject to the cap, the process begins with lottery registration in March. Premium processing is available through USCIS if you need a faster adjudication decision.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Safelite?
For cap-subject applicants, the timeline runs from March lottery registration through an October 1 start date, assuming selection. DOL certifies the Labor Condition Application within seven business days, and standard USCIS processing for Form I-129 can take several months. Premium processing reduces the USCIS adjudication window to 15 business days, which many employers use to reduce uncertainty.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Safelite?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
