Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Takeda Pharmaceuticals H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Align your degree to Takeda's specialty occupation standard
Takeda's H-1B petitions must demonstrate your role is a specialty occupation requiring a specific degree field. Review the O*NET profile for your target job title and confirm your degree field directly maps to the role, not just broadly to science.
Target Takeda's R&D and clinical divisions first
Takeda's H-1B sponsorship concentrates in drug development, biostatistics, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory affairs. Applying to roles in these divisions gives you a stronger shot than corporate support functions, where sponsorship decisions are less predictable and less routine.
Search Takeda's verified sponsorship history on Migrate Mate
Before applying, use Migrate Mate to review Takeda's LCA filing history by job title and location. You'll see which roles Takeda has actively sponsored and at what wage levels, so you can target positions with a real precedent rather than guessing.
Negotiate your offer timing around the H-1B cap deadline
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If Takeda extends an offer in late spring or summer, confirm whether they'll file in the next cycle or bridge your authorization another way. Missing this conversation early causes avoidable delays.
Confirm Takeda's prevailing wage tier for your role before accepting
Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the prevailing wage for your job title and work location before your offer stage. Takeda must pay at least that amount under the LCA, and knowing the benchmark helps you evaluate whether the offer is structured to clear compliance.
Prepare a credential evaluation for non-U.S. degrees before interviewing
If your degree is from outside the U.S., Takeda's immigration counsel will need a credential evaluation showing U.S. equivalency. Order this from a NACES-member evaluator before you reach the offer stage so it doesn't delay the I-129 filing timeline.
Takeda Pharmaceuticals H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Takeda Pharmaceuticals sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Takeda Pharmaceuticals sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in the United States. Sponsorship is most consistent in scientific and technical functions such as drug development, clinical research, regulatory affairs, biostatistics, and data science. Takeda works with immigration counsel to manage the petition process, so sponsored roles typically go through a structured internal review before USCIS filing.
Which departments at Takeda Pharmaceuticals are most likely to offer H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Takeda is concentrated in R&D, clinical development, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, and quantitative sciences. These roles align cleanly with the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires. Corporate functions like finance, marketing, or general operations see less consistent sponsorship because degree-field specificity is harder to establish under H-1B rules.
How do I find open H-1B roles at Takeda Pharmaceuticals?
Migrate Mate lists Takeda roles filtered by H-1B sponsorship history, so you can see which job titles Takeda has filed LCAs for and target your application accordingly. Cross-referencing Takeda's career site with their Labor Condition Application history gives you a clearer picture than applying broadly and hoping sponsorship is available.
How do I navigate the H-1B filing process once Takeda extends an offer?
After Takeda extends an offer, their immigration team or outside counsel files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, then submits Form I-129 to USCIS during the annual cap registration window in March. The October 1 start date is fixed, so offer timing matters. Ask Takeda's recruiter early whether the role is cap-subject and whether premium processing is available.
What is a realistic timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Takeda Pharmaceuticals?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the process runs from USCIS registration in March through lottery selection, petition filing by June, and an October 1 employment start. Standard USCIS adjudication can take several months after filing; premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. Takeda's internal review and LCA certification add a few weeks before the I-129 is ready to submit.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Takeda Pharmaceuticals?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
