Overview
Who We Are
We are a community built on care. Our caregivers and supporting staff extend compassion to those in need, helping to improve the health and well-being of those we serve, and provide comfort and healing. Your community is our community.
Our Story
We started out as a small operation in California. In May 1969, we acquired four hospitals, some additional care facilities and real estate for the future development of hospitals. Over the years, we've grown tremendously in size, scope and capability, building a home in new markets over time, and curating those homes to provide a compassionate environment for those entrusting us with their care. We have a rich history at Tenet. There are so many stories of compassionate care; so many "firsts" in terms of medical innovation; so many examples of enhancing healthcare delivery and shaping a business that is truly centered around patients and community need. Tenet and our predecessors have enabled us to touch many different elements of healthcare and make a difference in the lives of others.
Our Impact Today
Today, we are leading health system and services platform that continues to evolve in lockstep with community need. Tenet's operations include three businesses - our hospitals and physicians, USPI and Conifer Health Solutions. Our impact spreads far and deep with 65 hospitals and approximately 510 outpatient centers and additional sites of care. We are differentiated by our top notch medical specialists and service lines that are tailored within each community we serve. The work Conifer is doing will help provide the foundation for better health for clients across the country, through the delivery of healthcare-focused revenue cycle management and value-based care solutions. Together as an enterprise, we work to save lives and can accept nothing less than excellence from ourselves in service of our patients and their families, every day.

Match your credentials to Tenet's clinical gaps
Tenet's H-1B filings concentrate in roles where domestic talent is scarce, like specialized physicians and advanced practice nurses. Research which clinical departments at your target Tenet facility have posted recurring openings, then tailor your application to those specific specialty areas.
Verify your specialty occupation qualification early
Before applying, confirm your role meets USCIS's specialty occupation definition, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. For clinical roles at Tenet, your medical degree, nursing credentials, or allied health licensure typically satisfies this requirement without additional documentation.
Get state licensure sorted before your interview
Tenet operates hospitals across multiple states, each with distinct licensure requirements. Securing your state nursing license, medical board registration, or allied health credential before your interview signals readiness and removes a common bottleneck that delays H-1B filing after an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Tenet's LCA filing history
Search Tenet Healthcare's DOL Labor Condition Application filings on Migrate Mate to see which job titles, locations, and wage levels the company has certified. This tells you exactly where sponsorship has occurred before, helping you target the right facility and role in your application.
Understand the LCA prevailing wage before negotiating
Tenet must pay you at least the prevailing wage for your role and location, as certified on the LCA. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the applicable wage level for your occupation code before salary discussions so you can negotiate from an informed position.
Time your application around the H-1B cap and lottery
If you're not currently in H-1B status, your Tenet offer must align with USCIS's annual April filing window and lottery. Work with Tenet's HR team to confirm they'll submit your registration in March, and plan your start date around an October 1 activation if selected.
Tenet Healthcare H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tenet Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Tenet Healthcare does sponsor H-1B visas, primarily for clinical and specialized medical roles across its hospital network. Sponsorship is most common for positions where qualified domestic candidates are difficult to recruit, such as physicians in high-demand specialties, registered nurses, and certain allied health professionals. Availability varies by facility and department.
Which roles at Tenet Healthcare typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Tenet Healthcare is concentrated in clinical roles that require highly specific credentials, including physicians, surgeons, specialized nurses, and allied health practitioners such as physical therapists and radiologic technologists. Corporate and administrative roles rarely qualify, as H-1B sponsorship requires the position to meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Tenet Healthcare?
Once Tenet extends a job offer, their HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS. Your role is to provide documentation of your qualifications, credentials, and work history. If you're subject to the annual cap, your employer must register you during the March lottery window.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Tenet Healthcare?
After a job offer, Tenet's team typically needs several weeks to prepare and file the LCA and H-1B petition. Standard USCIS processing can take three to six months, though premium processing expedites the decision to roughly two weeks for an additional fee. Cap-subject applicants must also factor in the October 1 employment start date.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Tenet Healthcare?
Migrate Mate lists open roles at companies with verified H-1B filing history, including Tenet Healthcare, so you can target positions where sponsorship has actually occurred rather than guessing. Filter by healthcare employer and role type to identify Tenet facilities that have filed LCAs for positions matching your specialty and credentials.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Tenet Healthcare?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
