Align your degree to construction specialties
Traylor Bros. files H-1B petitions for roles requiring a specialty occupation degree, so map your civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering credentials directly to their active project types. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation's typical degree requirement before you apply.
Verify prevailing wage before salary negotiations
H-1B approval requires your offered salary to meet the DOL prevailing wage for your role and work location. Run your job title and the project site's county through the OFLC Wage Search before any offer conversation so you can negotiate from an informed position.
Target project-based openings in active bid regions
Traylor Bros. hires around specific heavy civil contracts, so your strongest H-1B candidacy comes when you apply during active mobilization phases on tunnel, bridge, or underground infrastructure projects. Search Migrate Mate to surface verified H-1B employer filings filtered by construction occupation codes.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your start date
Federal contractors in the construction sector are typically required to use E-Verify. Confirm that Traylor Bros.' specific project entity is enrolled before your first day, since your Form I-9 verification must clear through E-Verify when the employer is a covered federal contractor.
Request premium processing for field-deployment timelines
Heavy civil projects run on fixed mobilization schedules, so a standard H-1B adjudication timeline can conflict with your reported start date. Ask your hiring contact whether the company's practice is to elect premium processing through USCIS to meet project deployment windows.
Document site-specific experience in your petition support letter
Traylor Bros. often works on complex underground and marine construction environments. Your employer support letter should tie your technical experience directly to the specialty knowledge required for that project type, not just to a generic job description, to strengthen the specialty occupation determination.
Traylor Bros., Inc. H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Traylor Bros., Inc. sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Traylor Bros., Inc. sponsors H-1B visas for qualified professionals in roles that meet the specialty occupation standard. Sponsorship is project-driven and concentrated in engineering and technical disciplines tied to active heavy civil construction contracts. Availability depends on project pipeline and hiring timelines, so monitoring open roles during active bid and mobilization phases improves your chances.
Which roles at Traylor Bros., Inc. typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Traylor Bros. is most common in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering positions, as well as project engineering and technical roles that require a specialty degree directly related to the work. General labor and field craft positions do not typically qualify under the H-1B specialty occupation standard.
How do I find H-1B job openings at Traylor Bros., Inc.?
Migrate Mate surfaces verified employer H-1B filing history by occupation code, so you can identify whether Traylor Bros. has sponsored roles matching your engineering discipline. Pair that with direct monitoring of the company's careers page during active contract announcements, since project-based hiring often moves quickly after a bid award.
How do I start the H-1B application process at Traylor Bros., Inc.?
The process begins with a job offer. Once Traylor Bros. extends an offer, their legal or HR team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS. Your role is to provide educational credentials, employment history documentation, and any supporting materials the company's immigration counsel requests before filing.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Traylor Bros., Inc.?
Standard USCIS processing for an H-1B petition typically runs several months from filing. Because Traylor Bros. operates on project-based schedules with fixed mobilization dates, some petitions may qualify for premium processing to meet deployment timelines. Confirm the company's processing preference early in the offer stage so your start date aligns with adjudication reality.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Traylor Bros., Inc.?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
