Target technical and data-driven roles
Viant's H-1B sponsorships tend to concentrate in engineering, data science, and programmatic advertising technology. Focus your applications on roles where a specialized degree is clearly required, as these align most closely with H-1B specialty occupation standards.
Understand the LCA requirement upfront
Before Viant can file your H-1B petition, it must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from the Department of Labor. Knowing this timeline helps you set realistic expectations and ask the right questions during offer negotiations.
Highlight MarTech and AdTech expertise
Viant operates in programmatic advertising and marketing technology. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with DSPs, data pipelines, or audience analytics speak directly to the business needs most likely to drive H-1B sponsorship decisions.
Raise sponsorship early in the process
Don't wait until after an offer to discuss H-1B. Mentioning your visa situation during the initial recruiter screen confirms Viant is actively sponsoring before you invest time in multiple interview rounds with a team that may not have budget for sponsorship.
Search verified sponsor listings before applying
Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history before you apply. Confirming Viant's active status there saves time and ensures you're targeting a company with a documented record of filing for candidates.
Prepare for the H-1B cap lottery if you're cap-subject
If you're not currently in H-1B status, your petition enters the annual lottery with an April 1 filing window. Align your job search timeline so any Viant offer allows enough lead time for your employer to register you before the March deadline.
Viant Technology H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Viant Technology sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Viant Technology sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established record of filing H-1B petitions, primarily for technical and analytical roles in its marketing technology operations. International candidates with relevant engineering or data backgrounds are realistic candidates for sponsorship, though availability depends on the specific role and hiring budget.
Which roles at Viant Technology are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Viant Technology is most common in software engineering, data engineering, data science, and programmatic advertising technology roles. These positions require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard that H-1B petitions require. General business, sales, and marketing roles are less likely to qualify.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Viant Technology?
Once Viant extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, the company's legal team or an outside immigration attorney files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submits Form I-129 to USCIS. If you're cap-subject, registration happens in March and the petition files April 1. You'll want to raise your visa status during the recruiter stage so the timeline is factored into your start date.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Viant Technology?
The timeline depends on your current status. For cap-subject candidates, the process runs from March registration through October 1, when H-1B employment can begin. For those transferring from another H-1B employer, Viant can file a portability petition that allows you to start work once USCIS receives it, often within weeks. Premium processing is available for faster adjudication if the company opts in.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Viant Technology?
Migrate Mate lists H-1B sponsoring employers, including Viant Technology, with filters that let you search by company and visa type so you're only seeing roles from verified sponsors. Cross-reference those listings with Viant's own careers page to confirm the position is live. Applying through both channels and mentioning your visa status in your cover note gives you the clearest path to a sponsorship conversation.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Viant Technology?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
