Target technology and data roles first
HealthEquity's sponsorship activity concentrates in technical functions supporting its benefits platform. Software engineering, data analytics, and systems roles have the strongest alignment with the company's H-1B sponsorship history in the insurance and health savings sector.
Understand the Green Card pathway
HealthEquity has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, signaling long-term investment in certain employees. If permanent residency matters to you, ask during interviews whether your role has historically supported Green Card sponsorship.
Frame your expertise around benefits administration
HealthEquity operates at the intersection of insurance, technology, and financial services. Candidates who can clearly connect their background to HSA platforms, benefits compliance, or healthcare fintech will stand out in sponsorship conversations.
Engage with HealthEquity's talent team early
Because HealthEquity sponsors selectively, reaching out to recruiters before a role closes gives you an edge. Express your visa situation upfront so hiring managers can assess sponsorship feasibility without surprises late in the process.
Search for verified sponsorship-eligible openings
Not every HealthEquity listing will flag visa sponsorship clearly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus only on roles where international candidates have a genuine shot.
Prepare for a structured hiring process
HealthEquity uses a multi-stage interview process typical of regulated insurance and fintech companies. Knowing their product, compliance priorities, and mission around health equity helps you build credibility with hiring panels who influence sponsorship decisions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does HealthEquity sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, HealthEquity sponsors H-1B visas, though it does so selectively rather than at high volume. Sponsorship tends to focus on specialized technical and analytical roles that directly support the company's health savings account and benefits administration platform. If you're targeting HealthEquity, prioritize roles where your skills are hard to source domestically.
What types of visas does HealthEquity sponsor?
HealthEquity sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based Green Cards, including the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. The presence of Green Card sponsorship is a meaningful signal that the company is willing to invest in long-term immigration support for the right candidates, not just temporary work authorization.
Which departments or roles at HealthEquity are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at HealthEquity is most common in technology, engineering, and data-focused roles that support its HSA and benefits platform. Positions in software development, data science, and systems architecture align most closely with the company's documented sponsorship activity. Finance, compliance, and operations roles may also qualify depending on the candidate's qualifications.
How do I find open roles at HealthEquity that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to identify HealthEquity roles that are open to sponsoring international candidates. It filters job listings by verified sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which postings are actually accessible to visa holders. Search for HealthEquity directly on the platform to see current openings aligned with your visa situation.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by HealthEquity?
Be transparent about your visa status early in the process and connect your skills directly to HealthEquity's core business in health savings accounts and insurance benefits technology. Since the company sponsors a targeted number of roles rather than broadly, demonstrating specialized expertise, whether in healthcare fintech, compliance systems, or data infrastructure, makes your case for sponsorship significantly stronger.
