Align your degree to specialty chemicals sales
Henkel's Sales Development Manager roles in Chemicals and Materials typically require a technical degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science. Document how your academic background connects directly to the product lines you'd be selling before you apply.
Target Henkel's industrial adhesives business units
Henkel hires Sales Development Managers across distinct segments, including Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands. Roles tied to industrial adhesives and specialty coatings historically see stronger sponsorship activity, so filter your search toward those business units.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles by visa type
Henkel posts Sales Development Manager openings across regions and segments at different times of year. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Henkel positions by the visa types you need, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Ask about Labor Condition Application timing early
The DOL must certify your Labor Condition Application before Henkel can file your H-1B petition with USCIS. Raise the LCA timeline in your offer negotiation, since delays in certification can push your start date back by several weeks.
Prepare customer-facing experience documentation carefully
Sales Development Manager positions at Henkel require demonstrated territory management or account growth experience. Gather performance reviews, quota attainment records, or signed reference letters that quantify your results, since this evidence strengthens both your hiring case and any future PERM-based immigrant visa filing.
Clarify sponsorship scope before accepting an offer
Henkel sponsors multiple visa categories, but individual hiring managers may not know which pathways their specific team will support. Confirm with HR whether the offer includes H-1B cap filing, Green Card sponsorship, or only F-1 OPT extension before you sign anything.

Find Sales Development Manager at Henkel JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Henkel sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Development Managers?
Yes, Henkel sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Development Managers. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for commercial roles in its Chemicals and Materials business, particularly where technical product knowledge is required. You'll need to confirm sponsorship availability with the specific hiring team during the offer stage, since not every open role is automatically eligible.
How do I apply for Sales Development Manager jobs at Henkel?
Apply directly through Henkel's careers portal, where roles are posted by business unit and region. Before applying, filter listings for Sales Development Manager positions within Adhesive Technologies or Specialty Materials, as those segments have historically supported visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate also aggregates Henkel's open roles filtered by visa type, which helps you prioritize applications where sponsorship is confirmed.
Which visa types does Henkel commonly use for Sales Development Manager roles?
Henkel sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT for Sales Development Managers, with H-1B being the most common pathway for long-term employment. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles under USMCA. Henkel also supports EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for employees on a Green Card track, typically after a period of continued employment.
What qualifications does Henkel expect for Sales Development Manager positions?
Henkel typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a technical field such as chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science, combined with two or more years of B2B sales experience. Candidates with direct experience selling adhesives, coatings, or specialty chemicals to industrial customers are strongly preferred. Proficiency in CRM tools and a track record of managing multi-account territories also feature consistently in job postings.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap filing cycle?
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and calculate whether you have enough runway to work through the registration lottery and a potential gap. Henkel's HR team can file for cap-exempt extensions in some cases, but the safest path is securing an offer by February to allow time for the DOL Labor Condition Application certification before USCIS registration opens.
