Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. Duties

- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care, wound care, and other invasive tasks.
- Document patient information meticulously within EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs.
- Support patients requiring complex care including ICU, trauma center, pediatric (PICU), or post-acute settings.
- Assist with medical procedures such as phlebotomy or specimen collection when trained and certified.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medication schedules, and health maintenance strategies.
- Ensure infection control practices are followed diligently to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, outpatient clinics, hospice, or home & community care environments.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent licensure preferred.
- Proven experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living, or home care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques required.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (Hoyer lift), repositioning patients, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Critical thinking skills to respond promptly to patient needs in urgent or emergent situations such as emergency medicine or Level I Trauma Center scenarios.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required for some roles.
