Focus on Green Card pathways, not H-1B
Centra Health's sponsorship activity centers on permanent residence through EB-2 and EB-3, not H-1B. If you're planning your immigration strategy, target roles where the employer sponsors directly toward a Green Card from the outset.
Clinical and allied health roles are your best entry point
Healthcare systems like Centra Health typically sponsor nurses, therapists, and other clinical professionals most actively. Prioritize roles in direct patient care or specialized clinical services when searching for sponsored positions.
J-1 sponsorship opens doors for physicians
Centra Health sponsors J-1 visas, which is common for physician recruitment in regional health systems. If you're a foreign medical graduate, explore J-1 waiver programs that can convert your status into long-term employment.
F-1 OPT and CPT candidates should target support roles
Centra Health sponsors both F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible for students in healthcare-adjacent fields. Target administrative, research, or operational roles during your OPT period as a pathway to longer-term sponsorship.
TN visa holders from Canada and Mexico have a direct path
Centra Health sponsors TN visas, which suits Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying healthcare occupations. TN eligibility in healthcare is broad, so verify your occupation qualifies before applying.
Browse verified sponsorship history before applying

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Centra Health sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Centra Health does not appear to sponsor H-1B visas. Its international hiring is concentrated on Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3, along with J-1 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT. If you require H-1B visa sponsorship, this may not be the right fit, but Green Card sponsorship directly can be a strong alternative for eligible healthcare professionals.
What visa types does Centra Health sponsor?
Centra Health sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, J-1 visas, TN visas, and F-1 OPT and CPT. This makes it a practical option for a range of international candidates, from foreign medical graduates on J-1 waivers to Canadian and Mexican professionals qualifying under TN, and students completing healthcare-adjacent degrees on F-1 status.
How do I know if Centra Health is actively sponsoring right now?
Sponsorship activity at health systems like Centra Health tends to track closely with hiring cycles and staffing needs. Centra Health has demonstrated consistent sponsorship across multiple visa categories, making it a reliable option in the regional healthcare space. Use Migrate Mate to browse current open roles at Centra Health filtered by verified sponsorship history, so you're applying where international hiring is confirmed active.
Which departments or roles at Centra Health are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Clinical roles, including registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians, are the most common sponsored positions at regional health systems like Centra Health. Administrative and allied health support roles may also qualify under F-1 OPT or CPT. Roles requiring specialized credentials or facing staffing shortages tend to have the strongest case for employer-sponsored immigration support.
How do I approach the application process at Centra Health as an international candidate?
Lead with your clinical qualifications and any relevant U.S. licensure or credential evaluations completed. Be upfront about your visa status and the type of sponsorship you need, since Centra Health has an established track record across multiple pathways. If you're pursuing EB-3 sponsorship specifically, ask early in the process whether the role supports PERM-based Green Card filing. Confirming alignment on sponsorship type before advancing saves time on both sides.
