Tailor your resume to maritime hospitality
Hornblower's hospitality roles are tied to vessel-based food and beverage service, event hosting, and guest experience management. Highlight any experience in high-volume, time-pressured service environments, especially banqueting, cruise, or events work, not just standard hotel or restaurant roles.
Confirm your visa category before applying
Hornblower has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates alongside H-1B and TN holders for hospitality functions. Before you apply, identify which category fits your current status so you can frame your sponsorship ask clearly from the first conversation with a recruiter.
Research open roles through Migrate Mate
Hospitality openings at Hornblower are spread across multiple markets and vessel operations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Hornblower Group's visa-sponsoring hospitality positions so you're applying to roles that are actively open and sponsorship-eligible.
Prepare your credentials for specialty occupation review
For H-1B consideration, USCIS requires hospitality roles to qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Gather transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and any professional certifications in hospitality management before submitting your application.
Initiate the sponsorship conversation at the offer stage
Recruiters at hospitality-focused transport companies often assess sponsorship feasibility after a role is matched, not before. Have a clear, concise summary of your visa status, authorized work period, and the next required filing step ready to share when an offer discussion begins.
Account for DOL Labor Condition Application timing
For H-1B sponsorship, your employer must file and receive a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before USCIS can process your petition. Factor in at least a few weeks for LCA certification when planning your start date with Hornblower's HR or legal team.

Find Hospitality at Hornblower Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hornblower Group sponsor H-1B visas for Hospitality roles?
Yes, Hornblower Group has sponsored H-1B visas for hospitality functions. These roles need to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, meaning the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as hospitality management or a related discipline. Confirming that your specific role meets this threshold early in the process is the right first step.
How do I apply for Hospitality jobs at Hornblower Group?
You can browse and apply for Hornblower Group's visa-sponsoring hospitality roles through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for open positions where sponsorship is available. When applying, be upfront about your visa status and timeline. Hornblower's hospitality hiring spans multiple city markets and vessel operations, so check regularly for new openings that match your experience and work authorization needs.
Which visa types are commonly used for Hospitality roles at Hornblower Group?
Hornblower Group has sponsored hospitality workers through H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT pathways. For recent graduates, OPT and CPT are practical entry points. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying hospitality management roles. H-1B and the EB immigrant categories are more commonly used for longer-term or permanent positions within the organization.
What qualifications does Hornblower Group expect for Hospitality candidates seeking sponsorship?
Hornblower's hospitality roles are grounded in vessel-based guest experience, food and beverage service, and event operations. Candidates are expected to bring hands-on service experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments. For visa sponsorship purposes, particularly H-1B, a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a closely related field strengthens your petition and helps establish specialty occupation status with USCIS.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing H-1B sponsorship at Hornblower Group?
The H-1B process involves an annual lottery that opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're relying on OPT or CPT in the interim, make sure your authorized period covers the gap. Your employer must file the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before the USCIS petition is submitted, so build that into your timeline well before any cap registration deadline.
