Tailor your resume to freight operations
Hub Group's Customer Support roles focus on shipment tracking, carrier communication, and load coordination. Highlight any experience with transportation management systems, freight terminology, or logistics workflows before you apply, even if gained through internships or academic projects.
Confirm OPT eligibility before your interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your STEM extension eligibility and remaining authorized period before Hub Group's recruiting process begins. E-Verify enrollment is required for STEM OPT employers, and Hub Group's size means that compliance infrastructure is already in place.
Target roles tied to specific freight lanes
Hub Group operates intermodal and drayage networks across distinct regional corridors. Applying to Customer Support openings that align with lanes you can speak to, such as transcon intermodal or port drayage markets, signals operational fluency that generic applicants lack.
Request H-1B sponsorship during the offer stage
Raise H-1B sponsorship directly once you have a verbal offer, not during early interviews. Hub Group has sponsored this category for Customer Support, so the conversation is familiar territory for their HR team. USCIS caps mean your timing relative to the April lottery window matters significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Hub Group regularly posts Customer Support openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where H-1B, TN, or Green Card sponsorship is confirmed, so you're spending time only on positions where your visa situation is already a known fit.
Prepare for TN status if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Customer Support roles in logistics can qualify under TN categories when duties involve professional-level analysis or management. Prepare a detailed offer letter that maps your job duties to the TN classification before crossing the border, since a vague letter is the most common point of rejection.

Does Hub Group sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Support roles?
Yes, Hub Group has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Customer Support positions. If you receive an offer, their HR team is familiar with the process. The key constraint is USCIS's annual H-1B cap and the April lottery window, so the timing of your offer relative to the registration period directly affects when sponsorship can begin.
Which visa types does Hub Group commonly sponsor for Customer Support positions?
Hub Group sponsors across several categories for Customer Support, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN, and Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT is the most common starting point for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship often following for candidates who demonstrate strong performance in the role.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Hub Group?
Browse open Customer Support positions through Hub Group's careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter roles specifically where visa sponsorship is confirmed. When applying, tailor your resume to logistics-specific workflows such as shipment tracking, carrier coordination, and transportation management systems. Sponsorship conversations are most productive after you've cleared the initial interview rounds.
What qualifications does Hub Group typically expect for Customer Support roles?
Hub Group generally looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree and familiarity with freight or supply chain operations, though direct logistics experience can substitute for formal education in some cases. Strong communication skills, proficiency with TMS or CRM platforms, and the ability to manage high-volume carrier and client interactions are recurring requirements across Customer Support postings.
How do I plan my timeline around Hub Group's sponsorship process?
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, align your job search so you receive an offer before the USCIS registration window in March. TN status can be obtained at the port of entry and has no lottery, making it faster for eligible candidates. For Green Card pathways like EB-3, PERM labor certification through DOL adds significant lead time, so those conversations are best started early in your employment.
