The Job You Will Perform:
- Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees. Responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.
- Support and promote workplace safety practices, by monitoring adherence to safety procedures including lockout/tagout, machine guarding and housekeeping standards. Effectively communicate safety expectations consistently and address safety concerns promptly.
- Monitor production schedules, machine performance, downtime, speed, waste, and operational efficiency.
- Lead operational troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide direction, coaching, training, and support to production employees in a respectful and professional manner.
- Provide clear expectations, performance feedback, and accountability.
- Monitor product quality indicators including board appearance, adhesive performance, moisture, and related quality measures.
- Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
- Partner with maintenance teams to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, waste, and labor records.
- Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.
- Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels.
