Frame Your Credentials Around Regulatory Specializations
JPMorganChase's compliance hiring skews toward candidates with backgrounds in AML, BSA, or trade surveillance. Tailor your resume to highlight specific regulatory frameworks you've worked within, not just generic compliance experience, before you apply.
Search Open Roles Using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Compliance Associate openings at JPMorganChase by visa type. It surfaces roles where sponsorship has historically been offered, saving you from applying to positions that are unlikely to support your visa category.
Target Business Lines With Dedicated Compliance Teams
JPMorganChase's investment bank, asset management, and commercial banking divisions each run separate compliance functions. Roles within these lines often have clearer sponsorship pathways than centralized shared-services postings, so prioritize business-specific job codes when searching.
Clarify Visa Type Eligibility Before Accepting an Offer
JPMorganChase sponsors multiple visa categories, and which one applies to you depends on your nationality and status. Australian citizens should ask HR about E-3 processing timelines specifically, since that pathway moves faster than H-1B cap-subject filings.
Time Your Application Around H-1B Cap Season
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, your start date is tied to the October 1 fiscal year. Plan your interview process to conclude by late January or early February so your employer can register you with USCIS during the March lottery window.
Obtain FINRA Licensing Before Your Interview If Possible
Certain Compliance Associate roles at JPMorganChase require or prefer Series 7 or Series 66 licensing. Holding these before your interview signals readiness and reduces onboarding delay, which matters when your visa timeline is tied to a specific start date.

Find Compliance Associate at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance Associates?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance Associates, including cap-subject petitions filed through the USCIS lottery and cap-exempt filings where applicable. The firm works with experienced immigration counsel, so the petition process is well-established. Your specific eligibility depends on your current status, the role's classification, and whether you're subject to the annual H-1B cap.
How do I apply for Compliance Associate jobs at JPMorganChase?
You can find and apply for Compliance Associate roles through JPMorganChase's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters openings by visa sponsorship availability. Applications require a resume aligned to the specific compliance function (AML, regulatory reporting, trade surveillance, and so on). Tailoring your application to the relevant business line significantly improves your chances of getting a recruiter response.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for Compliance Associates?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Compliance Associates, along with H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, the firm has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and the specific role's USCIS job classification.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for a sponsored Compliance Associate role?
Most Compliance Associate openings at JPMorganChase expect a bachelor's degree in finance, law, business, or a related field, along with some direct exposure to financial regulation, AML programs, or risk frameworks. FINRA licensing (Series 7 or Series 66) is required or preferred for certain roles. Candidates without U.S. experience can strengthen their profile by demonstrating familiarity with frameworks like FATCA, MiFID II, or Dodd-Frank.
How do I manage the visa filing timeline for a Compliance Associate offer at JPMorganChase?
If you're on OPT or STEM OPT, your employment can begin while your H-1B petition is processed, provided USCIS receives the petition before your OPT expires. JPMorganChase's immigration team typically initiates filing well ahead of deadlines. For cap-subject H-1B petitions, build your timeline around USCIS's March registration window and the October 1 start date, and ask HR early whether premium processing is available for your petition.
