About us:
JP Morgan Chase has made a significant entry into the equity compensation industry with the acquisition of Global Shares, one of the only platforms to fully support companies in their private to public journey without switching systems. - Develop and close a pipeline of large pre-IPO companies on the Workplace solution.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with decision-makers within target companies, focusing on finance and HR departments, executives, and employee stock plan administrators.
- Collaborate closely with internal banking partners to build trust and identify key prospects early in the IPO pipeline.

Align Your Degree to the Role
JPMorganChase's Business Development Analyst positions typically require a finance, economics, or business degree. For H-1B specialty occupation eligibility, your transcript needs to show coursework directly relevant to the role's core functions, not just a general business background.
Target Lines of Business Strategically
JPMorganChase's Business Development function operates across Commercial Banking, Asset and Wealth Management, and Corporate and Investment Bank. Applications to divisions with active client growth mandates tend to move faster through approval cycles than roles in more static business units.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Sponsored Openings
Not every Business Development Analyst posting at JPMorganChase is open to visa sponsorship candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship-eligible roles and avoid spending cycles on applications that will stall at the offer stage.
Time Your Application Around H-1B Cap Deadlines
If you're on OPT, apply early enough that an offer can be extended before the March H-1B registration window. JPMorganChase's recruiting cycle for analyst roles often closes in the fall, giving you a realistic path to a cap-subject filing the following April.
Prepare for JPMorganChase's Immigration Team Early
Once an offer is extended, JPMorganChase's in-house immigration team handles the I-129 petition directly. Have your educational credentials, prior visa documentation, and any prior employer letters ready so the internal process doesn't stall waiting on you.
Understand How PERM Affects Your Long-Term Path
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, JPMorganChase must complete a DOL PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. At a firm this size, that process runs through structured HR and legal channels, so raise long-term sponsorship intentions during the offer negotiation, not after you start.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Analysts?
Yes. JPMorganChase is an active H-1B visa sponsor and has a consistent track record of filing petitions for Business Development Analyst roles. The firm participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery each March and also sponsors cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. Their in-house immigration team manages the process directly rather than relying solely on outside counsel.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly use for Business Development Analyst positions?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for the broadest pool of candidates. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which bypasses the lottery entirely. Singapore and Chile nationals can pursue the H-1B1 visa. For candidates on a path to permanent residence, JPMorganChase has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards through the DOL PERM labor certification process, typically after a candidate has established tenure in the role.
How do I apply for Business Development Analyst jobs at JPMorganChase?
Applications go through JPMorganChase's careers portal, but not every posting is open to visa sponsorship candidates. The most reliable way to find sponsorship-eligible openings is through Migrate Mate, which filters verified roles by visa type. When applying, tailor your materials to the specific line of business, since Commercial Banking, Asset Management, and the Corporate and Investment Bank each look for different client-facing experience.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for Business Development Analyst roles?
Most Business Development Analyst roles at JPMorganChase require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. For H-1B sponsorship, the degree must be directly relevant to the position's duties, so a match between your major and the role's focus area matters. Prior experience in financial services, client relationship management, or strategy consulting is common in competitive candidate pools.
How do I plan my timeline if I need sponsorship to work at JPMorganChase?
If you're on F-1 OPT, target JPMorganChase's fall analyst recruiting cycle so an offer can be finalized before the H-1B registration window opens in March. USCIS typically begins cap-subject employment on October 1, which is the start of the federal fiscal year. If you're already on H-1B with another employer, JPMorganChase can file a transfer petition that lets you start without waiting for a new cap slot.
