Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Business Development Executive roles hinges on demonstrating a direct link between your degree field and the specific role. A finance, economics, or business degree tied to JPMorganChase's institutional or commercial banking lines strengthens your petition significantly.
Target JPMorganChase's institutional and commercial divisions
Business development hiring at JPMorganChase is concentrated in its Commercial Banking, Asset and Wealth Management, and Corporate and Investment Bank segments. Applications routed through these divisions are more likely to involve structured sponsorship pipelines than roles in smaller business units.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in recruiter conversations
JPMorganChase recruiters handle high application volumes, so ask directly whether the specific role and business line have sponsored visas for international hires before investing in multiple interview rounds. This narrows your focus to active opportunities.
Understand how the H-1B cap and lottery affect your timeline
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Build your job search timeline backward from that window so any offer and LCA filing with DOL land well before the registration deadline.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Searching for Business Development Executive positions across JPMorganChase's divisions is faster when you can filter by sponsorship history. Migrate Mate lets you browse current openings at JPMorganChase filtered by the visa types they sponsor, saving significant research time.
Prepare for internal transfer as a post-offer sponsorship path
If you're already working in financial services on a sponsored visa, JPMorganChase's scale means L-1 intracompany transfers or portability under an approved I-140 can be viable routes into a business development role without re-entering the H-1B lottery.

Find Business Development Executive at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Executives?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Executive roles, particularly within its Commercial Banking, Asset and Wealth Management, and Corporate and Investment Bank divisions. Sponsorship is tied to individual roles and business units, so eligibility varies by position. Confirming sponsorship with the recruiter for the specific opening you're targeting is essential before advancing in the process.
How do I apply for Business Development Executive jobs at JPMorganChase?
Applications go through JPMorganChase's careers portal, where roles are listed by business line and location. You can also browse current Business Development Executive openings at JPMorganChase filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only roles where visa sponsorship has been offered. Tailoring your resume to highlight client acquisition, revenue growth, and sector-specific relationships improves your chances of clearing initial screening.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase commonly sponsor for Business Development Executive roles?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Business Development Executive roles, along with immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. H-1B is the most common route for candidates without existing work authorization. Australian citizens often pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and allows direct consular processing, making the timeline more predictable.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for Business Development Executive candidates?
JPMorganChase typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, economics, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience in client relationship management or institutional sales. Roles tied to Commercial Banking or Asset Management often require prior experience in those specific verticals, not just general business development. Series 7 or 63 licenses are commonly preferred depending on the division.
How do I navigate the sponsorship and offer timeline at JPMorganChase?
Once JPMorganChase extends an offer, the employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. For cap-subject H-1B cases, this process must align with the March registration window for an October 1 start. Candidates on OPT or a grace period should confirm their status end date early so the hiring team can assess whether the timeline is workable before an offer is finalized.
