Frame your credentials around financial investigations
Kroll's consulting work sits at the intersection of forensic accounting, valuation, and risk advisory. Translate your credentials into those terms before applying. A finance or accounting degree with relevant certifications like CFA or CFE strengthens your specialty occupation case significantly.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
Professional Services Consultant titles can vary in scope. Before accepting an offer, verify that Kroll's job description requires a specific bachelor's degree field. USCIS scrutinizes broad consultant titles, so the offer letter and LCA should clearly tie your degree to the role.
Target Kroll's disputes and investigations practice first
Kroll's disputes, restructuring, and compliance practices within asset management are active hiring areas for consultants. Focusing your applications on these practice lines, rather than applying broadly, increases your odds of reaching a team already familiar with international sponsorship processes.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open consultant roles at Kroll
Kroll posts Professional Services Consultant openings across multiple practice areas and offices. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Kroll roles with documented visa sponsorship history so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already on the table.
Align your OPT start date with Kroll's hiring cycle
If you're on F-1 OPT, Kroll typically hires on a rolling basis rather than through a single annual cohort. Starting OPT authorization early gives you room to complete interviews and receive an offer before your 90-day unemployment clock becomes a constraint during onboarding.
Prepare for PERM documentation well before your third year
If Kroll pursues a Green Card through PERM for your role, the DOL requires proof that no qualified U.S. workers were available. Keep records of your performance reviews and project contributions from year one. This documentation supports the employer's recruitment attestation later.

Does Kroll sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, Kroll sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants, particularly within its forensic, valuation, and risk advisory practices that serve investment and asset management clients. Because the H-1B requires demonstrating a specialty occupation, your offer letter and degree field need to align clearly with the role. Kroll has an established process for working with immigration counsel on these filings.
Which visa types are commonly used for Professional Services Consultant roles at Kroll?
H-1B is the most common pathway for Professional Services Consultants at Kroll. The firm also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in relevant finance or accounting programs, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and J-1 for certain training arrangements. For longer-term employment, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM is available for eligible consultants.
What qualifications or experience does Kroll expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
Kroll typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. For roles supporting investment and asset management clients, prior experience in valuation, forensic accounting, compliance, or restructuring is valued. Professional certifications such as CFA, CFE, or CPA strengthen your application and also support the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at Kroll?
You can find and apply for Professional Services Consultant openings at Kroll through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Kroll roles with confirmed visa sponsorship history so you can apply with confidence. Kroll hires on a rolling basis across its disputes, valuation, and risk advisory practices. Tailor your application to the specific practice area and highlight any client-facing consulting or financial analysis experience.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take at Kroll?
For H-1B sponsorship, Kroll must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. Standard USCIS processing runs several months, though premium processing can reduce adjudication to around 15 business days for an additional fee. If you're transitioning from OPT, timing your offer and filing relative to your OPT expiration date and the H-1B cap-gap rules is critical to maintaining continuous work authorization.
