- Serve as the primary technical liaison between EHS stakeholders, SaaS vendors, and IT teams to manage incidents, enhancements, audits, and platform roadmap evolution.
- Design, build, and support business-critical web and Power Platform solutions aligned with Lam enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
- Design and deliver integrations between internal Lam systems and third-party applications using REST APIs, approved connectors, and enterprise data services.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity and code quality, while ensuring adherence to Lam secure SDLC, code review, and testing standards.
- Own DevOps and release execution, including CI/CD pipelines, solution packaging, deployments, cutovers, and troubleshooting build, dependency, and environment issues.
- Configure, secure, and audit platform environments, including roles, permissions, service accounts, and access controls, to ensure scalable and supportable deployments.
- Provide production support, performance tuning, root cause analysis, and timely delivery of bug fixes and enhancements.
- Maintain technical documentation, solution design artifacts, and source control standards to support long-term maintainability and audit readiness.
- Lead Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, story allocation, and technical backlog prioritization.
- Perform code and design reviews, including review of AI-generated code, to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor developers and consultants supporting the EHS business, establishing reusable patterns, standards, and best practices.

Align your stack to Lam's semiconductor tooling
Lam's DevOps roles support highly specialized etch and deposition equipment software, not generic web applications. Highlight experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and real-time systems that mirror the reliability demands of semiconductor manufacturing environments.
Use Migrate Mate to target open DevOps roles
DevOps postings at Lam Research surface and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Lam Research DevOps positions verified for visa sponsorship, so you're applying to active roles rather than chasing outdated listings elsewhere.
Request clarity on PERM-based Green Card sponsorship
Lam sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards through PERM labor certification for DevOps professionals. During offer discussions, ask directly whether sponsorship is included in your offer letter and what the expected timeline from I-140 filing to priority date looks like.
Prepare a credentials portfolio for specialty occupation evidence
USCIS scrutinizes DevOps H-1B petitions under the specialty occupation standard. Compile transcripts, certifications (Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform), and role descriptions showing your work requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher, not just general IT experience.
Target Lam's Fremont and Boise engineering sites strategically
Lam's DevOps headcount is concentrated at its Fremont, California headquarters and Boise, Idaho campus. Roles tied to those locations fall under distinct DOL prevailing wage determinations, so research the wage level your experience maps to before negotiating your offer.

Does Lam Research sponsor H-1B visas for DevOps roles?
Yes, Lam Research sponsors H-1B visas for DevOps professionals. The company files H-1B petitions for qualifying roles that meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which requires the position to typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field such as computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
How do I apply for DevOps jobs at Lam Research?
You can browse and apply for DevOps roles at Lam Research directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for positions confirmed to offer visa sponsorship. From there, applications go through Lam's careers portal. Tailor your resume to reflect infrastructure automation, cloud platforms, and any experience supporting hardware or embedded software environments relevant to semiconductor manufacturing.
Which visa types does Lam Research commonly use for DevOps professionals?
Lam Research sponsors H-1B, TN, and J-1 visas for DevOps roles at the nonimmigrant level, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification for longer-term hires.
