Align your credentials to semiconductor supply chains
Lam Research's supply chain operates in a highly technical environment where experience with electronics components, wafer fabrication materials, or precision hardware procurement strengthens your candidacy. Document supplier qualifications or technical sourcing work clearly on your resume.
Target roles that match your visa category
Supply Chain positions at Lam Research span a range of seniority levels, and the visa type your employer files depends partly on the role's degree requirements. Confirm the role explicitly requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field before applying, since specialty occupation classification is what enables H-1B sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Supply Chain roles
Lam Research posts Supply Chain openings across procurement, planning, and operations tracks. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles that align with your visa type so you're applying to positions the company has a pattern of sponsoring.
Prepare for a technical and cross-functional interview process
Lam Research's Supply Chain interviews often include scenario questions on supplier risk, inventory management in constrained semiconductor markets, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering. Prepare case examples from hardware or electronics manufacturing environments specifically.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
When you receive an offer, confirm whether the company will file for H-1B cap sponsorship, support a transfer if you hold existing H-1B status, or initiate PERM-based Green Card sponsorship. These are separate processes with different DOL and USCIS timelines that affect your planning.
Account for LCA approval before your start date
Your employer must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before filing your H-1B petition with USCIS. In Supply Chain roles with defined work locations across Lam's U.S. facilities, the LCA must correctly list all sites where you'll perform work.

Does Lam Research sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chains?
Yes, Lam Research sponsors H-1B visas for Supply Chain roles. The company's semiconductor equipment manufacturing business requires specialized procurement, planning, and logistics talent, and it has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for this function. Roles must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, meaning the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field.
How do I apply for Supply Chain jobs at Lam Research?
Applications go through Lam Research's careers portal, where Supply Chain openings are posted across categories like procurement, demand planning, supplier quality, and logistics. You can also browse and filter Lam Research's open Supply Chain positions on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from employers with active visa sponsorship histories so you can prioritize applications strategically.
Which visa types does Lam Research commonly use for Supply Chain roles?
Lam Research sponsors H-1B visas for full-time Supply Chain hires and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates in relevant roles. The company also uses TN visas for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals, and J-1 for certain internship or training placements. For long-term employees, Lam Research initiates EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Lam Research expect for Supply Chain roles?
Most Supply Chain positions at Lam Research require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations, or a related technical field. Experience with electronics or semiconductor component procurement, ERP systems, and supplier negotiation is commonly expected. Senior roles typically require several years of relevant industry experience, and familiarity with the constraints of high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments is a recurring theme in job descriptions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Supply Chain role at Lam Research?
If you're being sponsored for a new H-1B, the process is tied to the annual cap lottery, which runs in March for an October 1 start date. A DOL Labor Condition Application must be certified before USCIS filing. If you already hold H-1B status with another employer, a transfer petition can be filed at any time and work can begin once USCIS receives it, with no lottery required.
