Align your credentials to Langan's project portfolio
Langan works across land development, infrastructure, and environmental consulting. Before applying, tailor your resume to highlight project delivery experience in those sectors, since senior roles require demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-disciplinary engagements from initiation through closeout.
Verify your degree supports a specialty occupation filing
H-1B eligibility for project management roles hinges on whether your degree directly relates to the position. Engineering or environmental science degrees strengthen your case significantly over a general business degree when USCIS evaluates specialty occupation status for consulting roles.
Confirm the LCA wage level matches your offer
DOL Labor Condition Applications for Senior Project Management roles at consulting firms are typically filed at wage Level III or IV. Ask your recruiter which level Langan intends to file at, since a mismatch between your offer and the LCA wage level can delay or complicate your H-1B petition.
Target Langan offices in states with active project pipelines
Langan operates across more than 30 offices, and hiring for senior roles concentrates around offices with active land development or environmental remediation pipelines. Use Migrate Mate to filter Senior Project Management openings by location and identify which offices are actively recruiting sponsored candidates.
Understand PERM timelines before accepting a lateral offer
If you're already on an H-1B and targeting a Green Card through Langan, PERM labor certification currently takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. Factor that into your negotiation if you're switching from another employer mid-process.

Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The company has an established sponsorship process for qualified engineering and environmental consulting professionals. Your employer will file the Labor Condition Application with DOL and the I-129 petition with USCIS on your behalf, typically ahead of the April cap filing window.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
You can search and apply for Senior Project Management roles at Langan directly through their careers portal or by using Migrate Mate, which aggregates Langan's visa-sponsoring positions in one place. When applying, highlight your project delivery experience in land development, infrastructure, or environmental services, and be upfront about your visa status early in the process to avoid delays later.
Which visa types does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services commonly use for Senior Project Management roles?
Langan sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Senior Project Management professionals. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles, J-1 for certain exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa categories for candidates pursuing permanent residency.
What qualifications does Langan look for in Senior Project Management candidates?
Langan typically expects a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a closely related field, combined with substantial project management experience in consulting or professional services. Familiarity with land development permitting, environmental site assessment, or infrastructure delivery is a strong differentiator. Professional licensure such as a PE or PMP certification is commonly preferred at the senior level.
How do I navigate the visa sponsorship process timeline when joining Langan as a Senior Project Manager?
If you're transitioning from OPT, Langan needs to file your H-1B petition by April 1 for an October 1 start date, giving you a roughly six-month gap to bridge. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, you can start working as soon as USCIS receives the petition. For Green Card sponsorship, expect the full PERM-to-approval process to take several years depending on your country of birth and priority date.
