Align your portfolio with AV infrastructure systems
Latitude AI builds backend systems for autonomous vehicle pipelines, so tailor your portfolio toward distributed systems, real-time data processing, or large-scale ML infrastructure. Generic CRUD app experience won't stand out for these roles.
Target roles that match your degree field precisely
H-1B specialty occupation requires your degree to align with the specific role. Backend Engineer positions at Latitude AI typically require computer science or software engineering degrees. A mismatched field, even with strong experience, can complicate USCIS adjudication.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Backend Engineer roles
Filtering for visa-sponsoring employers in autonomous vehicle tech is time-consuming manually. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified Backend Engineer openings at Latitude AI and similar companies that have an active sponsorship history for your visa type.
Request the LCA details before accepting an offer
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition. Ask your recruiter for the prevailing wage level assigned to your role. Level I and Level II LCAs face more USCIS scrutiny for experienced backend candidates.

Find Backend Engineer at Latitude AI JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Latitude AI sponsor H-1B visas for Backend Engineers?
Yes, Latitude AI sponsors H-1B visas for Backend Engineer roles. The company has an active sponsorship history for technical positions in its autonomous vehicle software stack. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, sponsorship would target the annual April lottery window for an October 1 start. Confirm your specific timeline with the recruiting team early in the process.
How do I apply for Backend Engineer jobs at Latitude AI?
Applications go through Latitude AI's careers page, where Backend Engineer roles are listed by team and specialization. To find roles that are actively open to visa sponsorship candidates, Migrate Mate surfaces verified listings at Latitude AI filtered by visa type, saving you from applying to positions that don't support sponsorship for your status.
Which visa types does Latitude AI sponsor for Backend Engineers?
Latitude AI sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Backend Engineers. F-1 students on CPT or OPT can work before any H-1B filing is needed. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles. H-1B sponsorship covers the full employer-filed petition process for longer-term work authorization.
What qualifications does Latitude AI expect from Backend Engineer candidates?
Latitude AI's Backend Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Strong candidates bring experience with distributed systems, backend APIs, or data infrastructure at scale. For H-1B purposes, your degree field needs to directly support the role's specialty occupation classification under USCIS standards.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Latitude AI?
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, your employment authorization must cover the gap. OPT STEM extensions give eligible graduates up to 24 additional months of work authorization, which is often enough to bridge through a lottery cycle. Coordinate your offer timing with Latitude AI's HR team well before your current status expires.
