Verify Your EPA 608 Certification First
Lennox International expects HVAC Technicians to hold EPA Section 608 certification before interviewing. Confirm your certification is current and covers the refrigerant types relevant to commercial and residential HVAC systems Lennox manufactures.
Target Lennox Roles That Specify Systems Experience
Filter Lennox job postings for roles that call out specific equipment, such as chillers, rooftop units, or controls integration. These specialty postings signal stronger sponsorship intent because the employer needs a candidate with a defined technical profile, not a generalist.
Use Migrate Mate to Track Open Lennox Positions
Lennox HVAC Technician openings are distributed across manufacturing and service locations and can be difficult to monitor manually. Use Migrate Mate to browse and track Lennox roles that are open to visa sponsorship so you apply before positions close.
Prepare for the PERM Wage Documentation Process
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, your employer files a PERM application with DOL establishing that no qualified U.S. worker was available. Gather documentation of your trade credentials and prior employment history early, since PERM recruitment timelines can extend several months.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Before accepting an offer, confirm in writing whether Lennox is sponsoring an H-1B, EB-2, or EB-3, and whether that includes legal fees and premium processing. HVAC roles often involve EB-3 sponsorship, which has a longer timeline than an H-1B transfer.
Align Your Resume to Lennox Manufacturing Environments
Lennox operates production facilities where HVAC Technicians support both equipment manufacturing and facility maintenance. Highlight experience with industrial HVAC systems, preventive maintenance programs, and compliance with OSHA standards to match what their hiring managers are screening for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lennox International sponsor H-1B visas for HVAC Technicians?
Yes, Lennox International has sponsored H-1B visas for HVAC Technicians. The H-1B requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, which means demonstrating that the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. For trade-heavy HVAC roles, Lennox has also pursued EB-3 sponsorship as an alternative path for skilled workers.
How do I apply for HVAC Technician jobs at Lennox International?
Applications go through Lennox International's careers portal, where HVAC Technician openings are listed by location and facility type. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Lennox roles that are open to visa sponsorship and get alerted when new positions are posted. Tailor your resume to highlight specific HVAC systems experience and any EPA or manufacturer certifications relevant to Lennox's product lines.
Which visa types does Lennox International commonly use for HVAC Technician roles?
Lennox International has used both H-1B and employment-based Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, to sponsor HVAC Technicians. The EB-3 skilled worker category is particularly common for technician-level roles that require trade credentials and documented experience rather than an advanced degree. The right category depends on the specific role requirements and your qualifications.
What qualifications does Lennox International expect from HVAC Technician candidates?
Lennox typically looks for EPA Section 608 certification, hands-on experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, and familiarity with controls, refrigeration cycles, and preventive maintenance. For sponsored roles, relevant manufacturer certifications and experience in a manufacturing or facilities environment strengthen your application considerably. A two-year technical degree or formal apprenticeship completion is commonly preferred.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an HVAC Technician at Lennox International?
For H-1B sponsorship, standard USCIS processing takes three to five months, with premium processing available to reduce that to 15 business days. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM takes longer, often one to two years or more from initial filing to approval, depending on your country of birth and the DOL audit queue. Clarify the expected pathway and timeline with Lennox's HR team during the offer stage.
