Certify Your HVAC Credentials Before Applying
EPA Section 608 certification and NATE credentials are baseline expectations for Service Tech roles in HVAC manufacturing. Have these documented and ready to attach to your application. Lennox hiring managers screen for them early in the process.
Target Lennox Regions With Field Service Demand
Lennox operates service and distribution networks across the U.S. with heavier field tech demand in the South, Southwest, and Sun Belt states. Focusing your search on high-activity regions improves your odds of landing a role where sponsorship is already part of the hiring playbook.
Clarify Sponsorship Eligibility During Screening Calls
Recruiters at manufacturing companies often pre-screen for work authorization early. State your visa status clearly and ask directly whether the specific Service Tech opening is approved for H-1B sponsorship. Ambiguity at this stage costs you weeks.
Understand How EB-2 and EB-3 Fit Service Tech Roles
For permanent residency, Service Techs at Lennox are typically sponsored through the EB-3 skilled worker category. EB-3 requires PERM labor certification through the DOL, a multi-step process your employer initiates. Knowing this upfront helps you ask the right questions during offer negotiations.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Service Tech Roles
Identify which Lennox International Service Tech openings are currently accepting sponsored candidates by browsing Migrate Mate. Filtering by visa type lets you focus only on roles where H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is confirmed, so you're not chasing dead ends.
Track Your H-1B Cap-Gap Status If on OPT
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to an H-1B at Lennox, your cap-gap period lets you stay authorized between OPT expiry and October 1. Confirm with USCIS that your H-1B petition was filed before OPT expires to maintain continuous work authorization throughout the gap.

Find Service Tech at Lennox International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Lennox International sponsor H-1B visas for Service Techs?
Yes, Lennox International has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for technical roles including Service Techs. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific opening and location, so confirm directly with the recruiter during your screening call. Not every Service Tech position will be approved for sponsorship, so asking early avoids wasted time on both sides.
How do I apply for Service Tech jobs at Lennox International?
Applications go through Lennox International's careers portal. Search for Service Technician or Field Service Tech openings and filter by location. If you need visa sponsorship, flag your status in your application or cover note and confirm during the first recruiter contact that the role supports it. Migrate Mate also lists open Lennox Service Tech roles filtered by sponsorship type, which saves time upfront.
Which visa types are commonly used for Service Tech roles at Lennox International?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant pathway for sponsored Service Techs at Lennox. For permanent residency, EB-3 skilled worker is the typical route, which requires PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS can process the immigrant petition. EB-2 may apply in cases involving advanced degrees or exceptional ability, though it's less common for technician-level roles.
What qualifications does Lennox International expect for Service Tech candidates who need sponsorship?
Lennox typically looks for EPA Section 608 certification, hands-on HVAC or refrigeration system experience, and often NATE certification for commercial roles. An associate degree or technical trade credential in HVAC, mechanical, or electrical systems strengthens your application. Because H-1B requires a specialty occupation with a degree requirement, documented technical credentials and relevant field experience are especially important for sponsored hires.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Service Tech at Lennox International?
For H-1B, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months after the October 1 cap start date, though premium processing can reduce adjudication to around 15 business days. For EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the full PERM labor certification plus USCIS petition process typically spans one to two years before a priority date is established. Your actual wait depends on your country of birth and current USCIS processing volumes.
