Align your coursework with HVAC engineering needs
Lennox recruits interns from mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering programs. Frame your transcript and projects around thermal systems, controls, or manufacturing processes so your academic background maps directly to their product lines.
Target Lennox sites with established engineering programs
Lennox operates manufacturing and R&D facilities in Texas, Iowa, and beyond. Apply to locations with dedicated engineering teams rather than purely distribution sites, where intern conversion to full-time sponsored roles is far more common.
Ask recruiters about return-offer and H-1B pathways early
Lennox has sponsored H-1B petitions through the annual USCIS lottery, which opens in March for an October start. Raise your long-term sponsorship question during the offer stage, not after accepting, so both sides can plan around the cap timeline.
Search Migrate Mate to find open Lennox intern roles
Filter by visa sponsorship and manufacturing industry on Migrate Mate to surface active Lennox International intern postings. Sponsored roles are tagged directly, so you can prioritize applications to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Verify Lennox's E-Verify enrollment before onboarding
As a federal contractor, Lennox participates in E-Verify, which means your employment eligibility is confirmed electronically at hire. Have your I-20, passport, and EAD ready for the Form I-9 process and expect verification to happen quickly on your first day.

Find Intern at Lennox International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Lennox International sponsor H-1B visas for Interns?
Lennox International has sponsored H-1B visas, though sponsorship for intern roles typically follows a return-offer pathway rather than direct intern-to-H-1B filing. Most international interns start on F-1 OPT, complete a strong internship, receive a full-time return offer, and then enter the H-1B cap lottery the following March for an October start date. Raising this timeline with your recruiter before accepting an offer is the most practical approach.
How do I apply for Intern jobs at Lennox International?
Applications for Lennox International intern roles go through their careers portal, where you can filter by internship and co-op positions. Target roles tied to engineering, manufacturing operations, or supply chain that match your degree field. You can also browse and apply through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Lennox postings tagged for visa sponsorship, letting you identify the most relevant opportunities without sorting through unsponsored listings manually.
Which visa types are most commonly used for Intern roles at Lennox International?
F-1 OPT is the most common work authorization for international interns at Lennox, covering the internship period within your degree's field of study. STEM OPT extension applies if your program qualifies, giving you up to 24 additional months of work authorization after graduation. For interns who convert to full-time roles, H-1B sponsorship through the annual USCIS lottery is the typical next step. Lennox has also pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for long-term employees.
What qualifications does Lennox International expect from intern candidates?
Lennox typically recruits interns enrolled in bachelor's or master's programs in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or related technical fields. Hands-on coursework in thermodynamics, controls, or manufacturing systems is valued. For roles in supply chain or operations, coursework in logistics or industrial processes carries weight. Prior internship experience in a manufacturing or product development environment strengthens your application significantly, even if that experience is from a different industry.
How should I plan my timeline if I want Lennox to sponsor my H-1B after an internship?
The H-1B cap lottery opens each March for an October 1 start, so the sequence matters: complete your internship, receive a full-time return offer, and ensure your employer files your registration in March. If you graduate before October, you'll bridge the gap using OPT or STEM OPT. USCIS processes cap-subject petitions after the lottery draw, typically confirming selection by May or June. Build this timeline into your offer negotiation so your graduation, OPT expiration, and H-1B start date align.
