Description and Requirements
We are seeking a Business and Data Analyst to join the Global Media, Reporting & Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) and help accelerate our transformation into a performance- and data-driven Marketing organization.
As Marketing strengthens its alignment with Sales and focuses increasingly on measurable business and revenue outcomes, our ability to connect marketing activity, investment, and performance to business impact is critical. This role will help enable Marketing executives and practitioners to access, understand, and act on relevant, trusted, and meaningful data.
The Business and Data Analyst will serve as a critical bridge between business needs, data, analytics, and decision-making. The successful candidate will partner with Marketing stakeholders to understand their business questions and reporting needs, translate those needs into clear data and analytics requirements, and help turn insights into actionable recommendations that improve marketing investment, campaign performance, and business outcomes.
Stakeholder enablement may be delivered through analytics dashboards, performance reports, AI-enabled analytics, training, best-practice sharing, self-service capabilities, or other scalable solutions that help marketers incorporate data and insights into their everyday decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the business analysis across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for marketing reporting and analytics solutions, from requirements discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business objectives, performance questions, decision-making needs, and pain points, translating them into clear business, functional, reporting, data, and technical requirements
- Define and document requirements including KPIs, business rules, metric definitions, use cases, data requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria, ensuring solutions address the underlying business need
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and data engineers, BI/dashboard developers, visualization specialists, automation and AI teams, and external agencies, driving alignment and successful end-to-end delivery
- Apply strong BI and technical knowledge to contribute to solution design, development, validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring dashboards and analytics solutions are intuitive, scalable, technically feasible, and fit for purpose
- Coordinate business validation and UAT, ensuring delivered solutions meet agreed requirements and provide accurate, trusted, and actionable information
- Translate reporting needs into data integration and provisioning requirements and contribute to standards for data quality, reporting governance, security, privacy, and metric consistency
- Drive alignment across Marketing organizations (including Media, eCommerce, Marketing Operations, Business Units, Worldwide and Geography teams) and Sales to promote a consistent approach to marketing performance measurement and reporting
- Drive adoption and effective use of reporting and analytics solutions through stakeholder enablement, train-the-trainer programs, communities of practice, documentation, best-practice sharing, and demonstration content
- Conduct targeted marketing performance and ad-hoc analysis across investment, media, web, leads, pipeline, revenue, and other relevant data to answer priority business questions and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Present insights, recommendations, and solutions effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior and C-level audiences, using executive reports, presentations, dashboards, demonstrations, and other appropriate formats
- Leverage AI and automation to scale analysis and insight generation, improve access to marketing performance information, and reduce repetitive manual reporting and analytical activities
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve reporting, analytics, and internal processes across the Marketing organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Data/Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis, marketing analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or data-driven solution delivery within a complex organization
- Strong experience in business analysis, ideally within marketing analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data, or other technology-enabled environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading the end-to-end delivery of BI, reporting, analytics, or data solutions, from requirements discovery through implementation, validation, and adoption
- Ability to understand complex or ambiguous business needs and translate them into clear, structured, and actionable requirements for technical delivery teams
- Strong knowledge of BI development and the analytics solution lifecycle, with the technical fluency to work effectively with data engineers, dashboard developers, visualization specialists, automation, and AI teams
- Solid understanding of data concepts including data integration, provisioning, transformation, data quality, metric calculation, and governance, combined with hands-on analytical skills
- Experience with marketing performance measurement, with an understanding of the relationship between marketing investment, media, digital engagement, leads, pipeline, revenue, and business outcomes
- Ability to conduct targeted analysis and translate complex data into clear business insights, recommendations, and compelling narratives for both practitioners and senior executives
- Experience with, or strong interest in, applying AI and automation to scale analytics, reporting, insight generation, and business processes
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and communication skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions, manage competing priorities, build alignment, and influence without direct authority
- Experience driving solution adoption and organizational enablement through training, knowledge sharing, communities of practice, and change management
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a global, highly matrixed organization, working across organizational boundaries and managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and workstreams
- Self-directed, proactive, and outcome-focused, with a strong commitment to delivering reporting and analytics solutions that enable better business decisions and measurable marketing impact
- Demonstrated experience supporting the end-to-end delivery of BI, reporting, analytics, or data solutions, with the ability to initiate projects and drive them from requirements discovery through implementation, validation, adoption, and continuous improvement
- Strong experience translating business needs into data, functional, technical, and dashboard development requirements, effectively bridging Marketing stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Solid background in data analysis and marketing performance measurement, with the ability to identify meaningful insights and translate them into clear recommendations for marketers and executives at all levels
- Experience with BI and visualization platforms, particularly Domo and Power BI, and a strong understanding of dashboard design, development, and data visualization best practices
- Experience with marketing technology and analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics, Sprinklr, 6Sense or equivalent platforms

Target engineering and technical roles first
Lenovo's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines tied to its hardware and electronics core. Focus your applications on software engineering, hardware development, and product management roles where international hiring is most common.
Apply early in the H-1B cap season
Lenovo has a consistent history of H-1B sponsorship, which means they typically plan hires well ahead of the April lottery deadline. Start outreach and applications in January or February to align with their internal hiring timelines.
Highlight hardware and product expertise in your resume
Lenovo prioritizes candidates with domain knowledge in electronics, computing infrastructure, or supply chain. Tailoring your resume to reflect experience in these areas signals a direct fit and strengthens your sponsorship case with hiring managers.
Explore OPT and CPT pathways as an entry point
Lenovo supports F-1 OPT and CPT, making it a strong option for international students looking to build a footprint before pursuing H-1B sponsorship. Internship and co-op programs can lead directly to full-time sponsored positions.
Search for verified Lenovo openings on Migrate Mate
Confirming a company's real sponsorship history before applying saves time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by actual sponsorship track record and find current Lenovo roles that match your visa type and background.
Understand Lenovo's TN and J-1 options if eligible
Beyond H-1B, Lenovo also sponsors TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican professionals and J-1 for exchange programs. If you qualify, these pathways can offer a faster route in, with a potential transition to H-1B later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lenovo sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Lenovo sponsors H-1B visas and is considered an active sponsor in the electronics and hardware industry. Sponsorship is most common for technical and engineering roles. Because Lenovo participates in the H-1B cap process each year, candidates should target roles and begin conversations with recruiters well before the annual lottery registration window opens in March.
Which visa types does Lenovo sponsor?
Lenovo sponsors several visa types including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visa. This range makes Lenovo accessible to international students, recent graduates, and experienced professionals. The right visa category depends on your nationality, education level, and the specific role you're applying for.
Which departments or roles at Lenovo are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Lenovo's sponsorship activity is most concentrated in technical and product-oriented functions, including software engineering, hardware development, systems architecture, data science, and supply chain. Business and operations roles tied to Lenovo's global infrastructure also see sponsorship. Roles requiring specialized skills in electronics or computing tend to have the clearest sponsorship pathway.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Lenovo?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Lenovo roles that come with verified sponsorship history. Rather than guessing which postings will lead to a sponsorship conversation, you can filter directly by employer sponsorship track record and visa type. This saves time and targets applications where international hiring is already established.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Lenovo for H-1B sponsorship?
Plan your timeline backwards from the H-1B cap lottery, which typically opens in early March for an October 1 start date. Lenovo needs time to evaluate your candidacy, extend an offer, and prepare the petition before filing. Aim to have an offer in hand by January or February at the latest. For OPT or TN candidates, timelines are more flexible but earlier is always better.
