Get Your RN Credentials Verified Early
Most states require internationally trained nurses to complete a credentials evaluation through CGFNS before issuing a license. Start this process before applying, since Lexington Health's hiring team will expect a valid state RN license at the offer stage.
Target Lexington Health's School Nurse Openings Directly
School Nurse roles at Lexington Health appear across multiple facility locations, so search by role type rather than a single location. Applying to several open positions increases your visibility to hiring managers before a specific req closes.
Clarify EB-2 Versus EB-3 Eligibility Before Your Interview
Lexington Health sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for nursing roles. EB-3 is the more common route for registered nurses, while EB-2 requires demonstrating advanced degree qualifications. Know which category fits your background so you can discuss it confidently with the recruiter.
Understand the PERM Timeline for Nursing Roles
The PERM labor certification process, filed through DOL, typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Factor this into your timeline if you're transitioning from a nonimmigrant status like H-1B and need to maintain valid work authorization throughout.
Ask Specifically About Sponsorship During the Offer Stage
Healthcare employers sometimes sponsor Green Cards only for hard-to-fill locations or specialties. When Lexington Health extends an offer, ask directly whether the School Nurse role at that site qualifies for EB-3 sponsorship before signing, so there are no surprises after onboarding.
Use Migrate Mate to Browse Verified Sponsorship Listings
Searching for sponsoring employers in healthcare nursing is time-consuming without the right filter. Use Migrate Mate to browse School Nurse openings at Lexington Health filtered by visa sponsorship type, so you only apply to roles where the pathway matches your situation.

Find School Nurse at Lexington Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Lexington Health sponsor H-1B visas for School Nurses?
Lexington Health's sponsorship activity for School Nurse roles is focused on immigrant visa categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, rather than H-1B nonimmigrant sponsorship. Registered nursing positions are classified as specialty occupations, but healthcare employers in this segment more commonly pursue PERM-based immigrant sponsorship. If H-1B is your current status, confirm with the recruiter whether they support H-1B transfers as a bridge during the Green Card process.
How do I apply for School Nurse jobs at Lexington Health?
You can browse current School Nurse openings at Lexington Health through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through Lexington Health's careers portal. Prepare your RN licensure documentation, a skills-focused resume aligned to school health settings, and be ready to address your visa status clearly in early recruiter conversations.
Which visa types does Lexington Health typically use to sponsor School Nurses?
Lexington Health sponsors School Nurses through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. EB-3 is the most common pathway for registered nurses and requires the employer to complete PERM labor certification through the DOL before filing an I-140 petition with USCIS. EB-2 applies if you hold an advanced nursing degree or can demonstrate exceptional qualifications. Neither pathway provides immediate work authorization, so maintaining a valid nonimmigrant status during the process is essential.
What qualifications does Lexington Health expect for School Nurse roles?
Lexington Health generally requires an active RN license in the relevant state, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at minimum, and experience in pediatric or community health settings. School Nurse positions often require or prefer certification as a Nationally Certified School Nurse (NCSN). For sponsored candidates, your degree and licensure must align with the specific EB category your employer intends to file under, so credential equivalency matters.
How do I estimate the timeline for getting a Green Card through Lexington Health as a School Nurse?
The full process typically spans three to five years or longer, depending on your country of birth and the visa bulletin's priority date movement. The PERM labor certification stage alone takes 12 to 18 months through DOL. After USCIS approves your I-140, wait times for EB-3 visa availability vary significantly, with applicants born in countries with high demand facing longer backlogs. Ask Lexington Health's immigration counsel for a case-specific estimate early in the hiring process.
