Verify Your State RN License Transfers
Quest Diagnostics operates in multiple states, and School Nurse roles often require licensure in the state where you'll work. Confirm your RN license is valid or transferable before applying, since sponsorship timelines depend on active licensure at the time of filing.
Target Locations With Consistent Nursing Openings
Quest posts School Nurse roles across different regions, but hiring volume is not uniform. Focus your applications on markets where Quest has recurring postings, since established hiring pipelines in those locations are more likely to have recruiters experienced with sponsorship paperwork.
Ask Recruiters About In-House Immigration Support
Quest handles sponsorship through internal HR and outside immigration counsel. During the recruiter screening call, ask directly whether the team managing this role has processed H-1B or Green Card petitions for nurses before. Past experience with the role type speeds up the USCIS filing process significantly.
Prepare Credential Evaluation Before the Offer Stage
If your nursing degree is from outside the United States, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before you receive an offer. DOL and USCIS both require foreign degree equivalency documentation, and delays in obtaining it can push your petition outside the H-1B filing window.
Browse Open School Nurse Roles Using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Quest Diagnostics School Nurse jobs by visa sponsorship type. This lets you prioritize roles where Quest has already indicated sponsorship willingness, so you're not spending time on postings that won't support your visa category.
Understand How EB-2 and EB-3 Timelines Affect Your Start Date
For permanent residency through PERM, your priority date determines how long you wait for a Green Card based on your country of birth. If India or China is your birth country, factor multi-year backlogs into your planning and discuss bridging options with Quest's immigration counsel during the offer stage.

Find School Nurse at Quest Diagnostics JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Quest Diagnostics sponsor H-1B visas for School Nurses?
Yes, Quest Diagnostics sponsors H-1B visas for School Nurse roles. Registered Nursing positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria because they require at least a bachelor's degree in nursing. Quest works with immigration counsel to prepare and file H-1B petitions, but the role must be a qualifying position and you need an active RN license in the relevant state.
How do I apply for School Nurse jobs at Quest Diagnostics?
Applications go through Quest Diagnostics' careers portal, where School Nurse positions are listed by location and department. You can also find roles filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify postings where Quest has indicated willingness to sponsor. Tailor your resume to highlight clinical experience relevant to occupational or school health settings, since those map most directly to Quest's nursing functions.
Which visa types does Quest Diagnostics commonly use for School Nurse roles?
Quest sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for nursing roles, including School Nurses, since the position meets the specialty occupation threshold. For longer-term pathways, Quest also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates can also be considered, provided the placement aligns with their field of study and the OPT period covers the assignment duration. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican RNs.
What qualifications does Quest Diagnostics expect for School Nurse candidates?
Quest typically requires an active RN license in the state of employment, along with a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related clinical field. Experience in occupational health, employee wellness programs, or pediatric nursing is viewed favorably. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, USCIS requires that the position require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific specialty, which a BSN satisfies. Some postings may also require CPR certification or familiarity with electronic health records platforms.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for School Nurse roles at Quest?
For H-1B sponsorship, your employer must file the petition by April 1 for an October 1 start date, and cap-subject petitions go through the USCIS lottery. Premium processing reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days after filing. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-year process starting with DOL labor certification, which alone takes six to twelve months before USCIS filing begins. Starting conversations with Quest's recruiting team early gives you the most scheduling flexibility.
