Align your credentials to U.S. degree equivalency
Manhattan University's education roles often require specific U.S. degree equivalencies. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before applying so your international degree maps cleanly to the posted requirements.
Target roles tied to academic departments
Faculty and instructional positions at Manhattan University are more likely to support visa sponsorship than short-term or adjunct roles. Focus your search on full-time, benefited positions posted through the university's human resources portal.
Search education sponsorship jobs on Migrate Mate
Filter for education roles at institutions with active sponsorship histories. Migrate Mate surfaces Manhattan University's open education positions alongside verified visa sponsorship data so you can prioritize applications strategically.
Prepare your LCA timeline with the academic calendar
USCIS requires a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before an H-1B petition can be filed. At universities, this process often follows budget cycles, so factor in a longer runway if your start date aligns with a new academic year.
Use OPT or CPT to build relevant campus experience
If you're on an F-1 visa, gaining practical training experience in a higher education setting, even at a different institution, strengthens your profile for full-time education roles and demonstrates familiarity with U.S. academic environments.

Find Education at Manhattan University JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Manhattan University sponsor H-1B visas for Education roles?
Yes, Manhattan University has sponsored H-1B visas for education professionals. Sponsorship is most common for full-time, benefited roles in faculty, academic services, and student affairs. Adjunct or temporary positions are less likely to qualify. During the offer stage, confirm directly with HR whether the specific role is eligible and whether the department has a history of filing H-1B petitions.
How do I apply for Education jobs at Manhattan University?
Positions are posted through Manhattan University's official HR careers portal. Submit a complete application including a cover letter, resume or CV, and any required references. For roles requiring licensure or degree equivalency, attach your credential documentation upfront. You can also browse open education roles at Manhattan University on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions with visa sponsorship potential.
Which visa types are commonly used for Education roles at Manhattan University?
Manhattan University sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying full-time education roles. The university also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in practical training. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in roles that fall under USMCA-designated education categories. Each visa type has different eligibility criteria, so your path depends on your nationality, degree, and the specific role you're applying for.
What qualifications are expected for Education positions at Manhattan University?
Requirements vary by role. Faculty positions typically require a terminal degree in the relevant field. Student services and academic advising roles often require a master's degree plus relevant campus experience. International candidates should have a credential evaluation completed before applying if their degree was awarded outside the U.S. Roles tied to accreditation or licensure requirements may have additional documentation standards you'll need to meet before an offer is extended.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Education roles at Manhattan University?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process typically takes three to six months from offer acceptance to approved status, assuming the DOL certifies the Labor Condition Application within the standard seven business days and USCIS processes the petition under regular service. University employers often align start dates with the academic calendar, so early communication about your visa status and timeline helps both sides plan accordingly. If you're already on OPT, confirm your expiration date against the expected filing timeline.
