Tailor your resume for FDA-regulated software
Masimo develops software under FDA quality system regulations, so highlighting experience with IEC 62304, software validation, or safety-critical development signals you understand the compliance context their engineering teams work in.
Distinguish embedded from application software experience
Masimo hires across firmware, signal processing, and cloud platform roles. Clarify in your application which layer you work in. A resume that conflates all software experience makes it harder for recruiters to slot you into the right opening.
Verify Masimo's E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
Employers must be enrolled in E-Verify to sponsor H-1B workers. Confirm Masimo's enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search before you reach the offer stage, so there are no surprises in the hiring process.
Browse open Software Engineer roles at Masimo on Migrate Mate
Filtering by employer and visa type helps you focus on roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process. Use Migrate Mate to find current Masimo openings that align with your engineering background and visa situation.
Ask about PERM timing if long-term sponsorship matters to you
PERM labor certification, required for EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, can take 12 to 24 months before an I-140 is even filed. Raising this early in the offer conversation tells you whether Masimo supports that pathway for this role.

Find Software Engineer at Masimo JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Masimo sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Masimo sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. The company has a history of filing petitions for engineering positions, and Software Engineers are among the technical roles where sponsorship is most commonly pursued. If you're on OPT or a current H-1B, it's worth confirming timelines directly with their HR team during the offer stage.
Which visa types does Masimo sponsor for Software Engineer roles?
Masimo sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation roles, including Software Engineers. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, the company has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification. F-1 OPT extensions and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals are also within scope, depending on your citizenship and role fit.
What qualifications does Masimo expect for Software Engineer roles?
Most Software Engineer roles at Masimo require a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Given that Masimo builds FDA-regulated medical devices, familiarity with software development lifecycle standards, quality systems, or safety-critical environments is a differentiator. Embedded systems, C or C++, and signal processing experience appear frequently across their open roles.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Masimo?
You can find and filter Software Engineer openings at Masimo by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where sponsorship is part of the hiring process. Applications typically go through Masimo's careers portal. Tailoring your resume to reflect medical device software experience, including any exposure to regulated development environments, improves your chances of clearing the initial screening.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Masimo?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you need an H-1B petition filed by April 1 for an October 1 start under the annual cap. That means securing an offer and completing the petition preparation well before April. USCIS typically opens the registration window in March. Starting your job search at Masimo in the fall or winter gives you the best chance of hitting that deadline without relying on cap-gap protection.
