About the Team: The Ads Platform, Experiment team owns Moloco's company-wide experimentation infrastructure. We build the systems that help teams roll out changes safely, measure impact rigorously, and make better product and business decisions with confidence. Our scope spans experiment lifecycle management, dynamic configuration and feature flag delivery, and the data pipelines and statistical tooling that power experiment analysis. We work at the intersection of backend infrastructure, data systems, and internal product development, partnering closely with engineers, data scientists, and statisticians.
About the Role: As a Senior Software Engineer on the Experiment Platform team, you will lead the design and evolution of high-leverage systems that shape how Moloco runs experiments across products. You will own important technical areas end-to-end, drive sound engineering decisions in ambiguous problem spaces, and build platforms that improve the speed, safety, and trustworthiness of experimentation company-wide. This role is well-suited for engineers who combine strong execution with technical judgment, enjoy working across backend and data system boundaries, and want to raise the quality bar for an internal platform used by many teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of major components across experiment management services, configuration delivery systems, and analysis pipelines.
- Own technical decisions for platform areas that require balancing correctness, reliability, performance, and ease of adoption.
- Improve the trustworthiness of experimentation by strengthening system design, observability, data quality, and operational standards.
- Partner closely with engineers, data scientists, statisticians, and stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
- Mentor other engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and pragmatic technical leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in backend systems, data infrastructure, distributed systems, or other relevant platform areas.
- Proven ability to independently drive technical projects from problem definition through production rollout in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Strong engineering judgment in system design, operational reliability, maintainability, and cross-functional execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and implementing experimentation platforms, A/B testing systems, feature flagging systems, or dynamic configuration platforms.
- Experience owning platform or infrastructure systems used by multiple engineering teams.
- Experience working with analytical data systems, metrics pipelines, or data quality and correctness challenges.
- Familiarity with advertising, mobile product ecosystems, or performance-driven product environments.

Align your portfolio with ML infrastructure
Moloco's engineering work centers on real-time bidding systems, ML pipelines, and large-scale data processing. Before applying, make sure your resume and portfolio surface hands-on experience with these systems, not just familiarity.
Target roles matching your OPT timeline
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility before accepting an offer. Moloco operates in a STEM-qualifying field, but your degree subject must align for the 24-month extension to apply.
Prepare your credentials for specialty occupation review
USCIS evaluates H-1B petitions partly on whether your degree field directly relates to the role. For engineering positions, a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline strengthens the specialty occupation argument substantially.
Ask about sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Clarify whether the employer will cover premium processing, legal fees, and eventual Green Card sponsorship through PERM. These terms vary by company and are easier to negotiate before you sign than after.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open engineering roles
Searching for visa-friendly engineering roles across the industry takes time. Migrate Mate filters specifically for companies with active sponsorship histories so you can focus applications on realistic opportunities like Moloco rather than guessing.
Anticipate the H-1B cap gap between April and October
If you receive an offer after the H-1B lottery closes in April, your start date may be pushed to October 1. Confirm with your employer whether a cap-exempt filing or bridge status is available to cover the gap.

Find Engineering at Moloco JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Moloco sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Moloco sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles. Given the technical nature of positions in ML infrastructure and performance advertising, these roles generally meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, discuss the H-1B sponsorship process with your recruiter early in the offer stage to align on timing around the annual cap and lottery.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Moloco?
You can apply directly through Moloco's careers page. Tailor your application to reflect experience in the systems Moloco builds, specifically real-time bidding, ML model deployment, or large-scale data pipelines. If you want a curated view of open engineering roles alongside sponsorship context, Migrate Mate lists positions from companies with active visa sponsorship histories, including Moloco.
Which visa types does Moloco commonly use for Engineering hires?
Moloco sponsors multiple visa categories for engineering positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1, and immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 through the PERM labor certification process. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and how far along you are in your career.
What qualifications does Moloco expect for Engineering roles?
Most engineering roles at Moloco require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. For USCIS purposes, this matters beyond just landing the job. The degree field needs to directly relate to the role for an H-1B specialty occupation determination. Senior roles typically expect demonstrated experience with distributed systems, ML infrastructure, or high-throughput data platforms.
How does the visa filing timeline work after receiving an offer?
For H-1B, your employer files a registration in March for the lottery, and if selected, submits the full petition by June for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, you may be able to start sooner while the petition is pending. For TN status, there's no lottery and processing can move faster through a port of entry or consulate. USCIS premium processing is available for H-1B and cuts adjudication to roughly 15 business days.
