Frame your PM credentials for technical programs
Netflix Project Manager roles often sit closer to engineering and product than traditional business operations. Tailor your resume to highlight technical program delivery, cross-functional coordination with engineering teams, and experience managing software or platform development cycles.
Target roles that align with your visa category
Australian citizens should look specifically for E-3-eligible PM openings, while F-1 OPT holders need roles with start dates that fall within their authorized work window. Filtering by visa type before applying saves time and avoids pursuing roles your timeline cannot support.
Research Netflix's internal PM leveling before applying
Netflix uses a flat leveling structure rather than tiered titles. Understanding where your experience maps in their framework helps you target the right job postings and frame your specialty occupation case accurately when your employer files with USCIS.
Prepare for a sponsorship conversation early in recruiting
Netflix recruiters typically surface visa status questions during the initial screen. Know your current status, authorized end date, and whether you need H-1B cap sponsorship or a cap-exempt transfer. Coming in prepared reduces friction before an offer is extended.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility requires your PM role to demand a specific bachelor's degree field, not just any degree. At Netflix, roles tied to technical program management or content operations infrastructure tend to have stronger specialty occupation arguments than general project coordination positions.
Use Migrate Mate to find open PM roles at Netflix
Filtering for Project Manager openings that explicitly support visa sponsorship is faster with a dedicated tool. Migrate Mate lets you browse Netflix's current PM postings filtered by sponsorship type, so you apply only where your visa category is already supported.

Find Project Manager at Netflix JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The process is employer-led: Netflix files the Labor Condition Application with DOL, then submits the I-129 petition to USCIS on your behalf. Cap-subject candidates need to clear the H-1B lottery in April, while transfers from existing H-1B status can start at any time of year.
Which visa types does Netflix commonly sponsor for Project Manager roles?
Netflix sponsors a range of visa categories for Project Manager positions, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, J-1, and immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and the specific role's requirements.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Netflix?
Applications go through Netflix's careers site, where you can filter by role type and location. Netflix's recruiting process for PM roles typically includes a recruiter screen, a written case or take-home exercise, and multiple behavioral and functional interviews. You can also browse open Netflix Project Manager positions that explicitly support visa sponsorship through Migrate Mate before applying directly.
What qualifications does Netflix expect for sponsored Project Manager roles?
Netflix typically expects PM candidates to have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, business, or communications, combined with direct experience managing complex cross-functional programs. For H-1B purposes, the degree field needs to connect specifically to the duties of the role. Prior experience in streaming, media technology, or large-scale software delivery strengthens your application significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Netflix?
If you need an H-1B cap slot, the annual lottery opens in March and employment cannot begin before October 1 of that year. That gap matters when you're negotiating a start date. F-1 OPT holders can start sooner if their OPT period covers the offer date. Build at least three to four months of lead time into your job search to account for offer, LCA certification, and USCIS processing.
