Duties
- Assist the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in managing sophisticated financial models used by University leadership for organization-wide decision making.
- Create financial reports, charts, presentations, and executive reporting materials.
- Conduct detailed month-end variance analysis.
- As part of the forecast process, analyze key drivers and causes of material budget variances and communicate findings through written, verbal, and presentation-based reporting.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed, such as budget and financial reports for various modalities of instruction.
- In coordination with the FP&A team and University-wide budget managers, manage budget adjustment entries and assist with maintaining the commitment control process by utilizing the University's ERP system, Oracle PeopleSoft.
- Serve as the primary administrator of the FP&A central support services system, including intake management, prioritization, assignment tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate and partner with University and Finance leadership, in addition to academic and operational areas to support the development of the University's annual budget.
- Assist University-wide budget managers with the University's planning and budgeting system (Oracle PBCS), budget development, financial reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
- Manage and coordinate departmental projects, timelines, and task tracking for the FP&A team.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and operational processes while assisting with the administration of FP&A systems and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
