Align your credentials to PepsiCo's sourcing categories
PepsiCo's Procurement function is organized around specific categories like agricultural commodities, packaging, and indirect spend. Framing your resume around category management experience in food, beverage, or consumer goods signals direct fit before the interview stage.
Target roles that match your current visa status
PepsiCo sponsors H-1B, OPT, CPT, and TN visas for Procurement, but not every open role is approved for all types. Filter your search by visa type on Migrate Mate to identify which Procurement positions at PepsiCo align with your current authorization.
Use OPT strategically before the H-1B lottery
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have up to 12 months of work authorization, extendable to 36 months for STEM-adjacent roles. Starting in a Procurement analyst position at PepsiCo during OPT gives your employer time to prepare an H-1B petition before the April lottery deadline.
Expect PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship
PepsiCo typically pursues EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship for Procurement professionals transitioning from temporary visas. PERM requires DOL to certify no qualified U.S. workers are available, so your employer will need to run a compliant recruitment process before filing your petition.
Ask about sponsorship policy during the offer stage
PepsiCo's HR and legal teams handle visa sponsorship centrally, not at the hiring manager level. Raise sponsorship directly with the recruiter once you have a verbal offer, not before, so the conversation happens when they're already invested in hiring you.
Prepare supply chain credentials that survive RFE scrutiny
USCIS evaluates whether a Procurement role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree. Gather documentation showing your role requires specialized knowledge in supply chain, finance, or operations, not just general business experience, to support a strong H-1B petition.

Does PepsiCo sponsor H-1B visas for Procurement roles?
Yes, PepsiCo sponsors H-1B visas for Procurement professionals. The company files petitions through the annual USCIS lottery, which opens in March for an October 1 start date. Sponsorship is typically available for mid-level and senior roles where the position clearly requires a specialized degree in supply chain, finance, or a related field.
How do I apply for Procurement jobs at PepsiCo?
Applications go through PepsiCo's careers portal at pepsicojobs.com. Search by function using terms like strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier development. You can also browse open Procurement roles at PepsiCo filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions verified for international candidates.
Which visa types does PepsiCo commonly use for Procurement hires?
PepsiCo sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Procurement roles, along with EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa depends on your nationality, degree, and how long you've been in the U.S.
What qualifications does PepsiCo expect for Procurement roles?
Most Procurement roles at PepsiCo require a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or engineering. For senior positions, an MBA or CPSM certification adds weight. Practical experience in category management, supplier negotiations, or commodity markets in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods is consistently valued across their sourcing teams.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Procurement job at PepsiCo?
H-1B sponsorship follows a fixed USCIS calendar: registration opens in March, the lottery runs in late March, and approved petitions take effect October 1. If you're already on OPT, you can start immediately while sponsorship is prepared. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically takes two to four years from initial filing, depending on your priority date and country of birth.
