Target PepsiCo's Digital and Tech Divisions
PepsiCo's engineering hiring is concentrated in its digital hub and supply chain technology teams, not just corporate IT. Roles in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and software platforms are where sponsorship-supported headcount tends to sit.
Align Your Skills With PepsiCo's Tech Stack
PepsiCo's engineering teams work heavily in cloud platforms, data pipelines, and consumer-facing applications. Tailoring your resume to reflect experience in those areas signals fit for the roles where sponsorship has historically been approved.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Signing an Offer
Large food and beverage employers often sponsor H-1B transfers but draw the line at PERM-based Green Card sponsorship until a later employment stage. Ask HR directly which visa types are covered and at what point in tenure Green Card support begins.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Roles by Visa Type
PepsiCo posts Software Engineer roles across multiple job boards, but not every listing flags sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified PepsiCo openings filtered by the visa types you hold, so you're only applying to roles where you're eligible.
Prepare for PERM Timing if Green Card Is the Goal
DOL's PERM labor certification requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. worker was available for your specific role. For Software Engineer positions, PepsiCo will need a narrowly scoped job description, so avoid accepting a role with a scope broader than your actual qualifications.

Find Software Engineer at PepsiCo JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PepsiCo sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, PepsiCo sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. The company files petitions through the standard USCIS cap-subject process each April, which means timing your offer around the registration window matters. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, PepsiCo can file a transfer petition outside the lottery, letting you start work once the transfer is filed.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at PepsiCo?
You can apply directly through PepsiCo's careers site or through Migrate Mate, which lists open Software Engineer roles at PepsiCo filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Before applying, confirm that the specific role supports your visa type, since sponsorship availability can vary by team and location within the company.
Which visa types does PepsiCo commonly sponsor for Software Engineer roles?
PepsiCo supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Software Engineers. OPT and CPT are typically used earlier in a candidate's career, while H-1B and PERM-based Green Card sponsorship are more common for full-time positions with established immigration budgets.
What qualifications does PepsiCo expect for sponsored Software Engineer roles?
PepsiCo's Software Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B purposes. Roles in cloud, data engineering, and application development often also require demonstrated experience with specific platforms or programming languages relevant to PepsiCo's technology environment.
How do I understand the H-1B timeline if PepsiCo sponsors me?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, USCIS registration opens in March and the earliest employment start date is October 1 of the same year. From offer acceptance to work authorization, the process spans roughly six to eight months. If you're already in H-1B status elsewhere, a transfer to PepsiCo can happen faster under portability rules once the new petition is filed.
