Align your credentials with U.S. standards
Operations roles at PepsiCo, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain, often require documented safety certifications like OSHA or Six Sigma. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., get them evaluated through a NACES-member credential assessment service before applying.
Target PepsiCo's manufacturing and distribution hubs
PepsiCo runs production facilities and distribution centers across states like Texas, New York, and North Carolina. Searching by facility location rather than corporate headquarters surfaces Operations openings that are more likely to have active headcount and sponsorship approval already in place.
Search Operations listings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter PepsiCo's Operations openings by visa type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship has been confirmed. This cuts out the uncertainty of cold-applying and asking about sponsorship mid-process.
Understand how TN status applies to your role
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Operations roles, such as industrial engineers or management consultants, may be eligible for TN status, which has no lottery and can be processed at the border. Confirm your specific job title maps to a USMCA-listed occupation before relying on this path.
Ask about petition timing during the offer stage
For H-1B transfers or new filings, USCIS processing under standard service can run several months. Confirm with PepsiCo's HR team early whether they use premium processing, since Operations roles often have fixed start dates tied to production cycles.
Prepare for PERM documentation if you're pursuing a Green Card
PepsiCo sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories for some Operations roles. The DOL's PERM process requires your employer to document recruitment efforts before filing, so expect a multi-year timeline and keep records of your own qualifications, performance reviews, and employment history.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does PepsiCo sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, PepsiCo sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions, particularly in supply chain, industrial engineering, and process management functions. Sponsorship is more common for roles that require a specific technical degree. Because H-1B cap-subject filings are tied to the annual lottery, timing your application cycle with PepsiCo's hiring calendar matters, and premium processing is sometimes used to meet operations start dates.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at PepsiCo?
Applications go through PepsiCo's careers portal, where Operations roles are listed by function and location. To find roles that actively sponsor visas, use Migrate Mate to filter PepsiCo listings by visa type before applying. Tailoring your resume to reflect relevant certifications, such as Lean or Six Sigma, and experience in food and beverage or consumer goods manufacturing will strengthen your application significantly.
Which visa types does PepsiCo commonly use for Operations positions?
PepsiCo uses H-1B for specialty occupation roles like industrial engineers and supply chain analysts, TN visa status for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, and F-1 OPT or CPT for students in Operations-related programs. For longer-term pathways, PepsiCo also sponsors Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 categories for established employees in Operations functions.
What qualifications does PepsiCo expect for sponsored Operations roles?
PepsiCo generally looks for a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, operations management, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with manufacturing systems, ERP platforms like SAP, and process improvement methodologies strengthens your profile considerably. For senior roles, previous experience in food and beverage or fast-moving consumer goods environments is often expected rather than just preferred.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for PepsiCo Operations hires?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B transfers from another U.S. employer can start on day one of filing, while new cap-subject H-1B filings follow the October 1 start date after the spring lottery. TN status for qualifying Canadians and Mexicans can be processed at the border in a single day. Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process typically takes two to four years from initiation to approval.
