Align your credentials with CPA expectations
PepsiCo's finance teams favor candidates who are CPA-eligible or already licensed. Before applying, verify your foreign accounting credentials are evaluated by a NACES-approved agency so hiring managers can benchmark your qualifications against U.S. standards without ambiguity.
Target PepsiCo's divisional finance postings strategically
PepsiCo hires Accountants across Frito-Lay, Quaker, and its beverages division, each with separate finance teams. Roles tied to supply chain accounting and cost analysis in manufacturing-heavy divisions often have more consistent sponsorship pipelines than corporate shared-services postings.
Browse open Accountant roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter PepsiCo Accountant openings by visa type so you only apply to roles where sponsorship is confirmed. This saves weeks of back-and-forth with recruiters before discovering a position is restricted to permanent residents only.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
PepsiCo uses E-Verify for all new hires. Confirm your work authorization need in the first recruiter screen rather than after a panel interview. This prevents late-stage offer withdrawals and gives the hiring team time to loop in their immigration counsel.
Understand how OPT timing affects your start date
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS requires your OPT employment to be directly related to your degree field. For accounting roles, your degree must be in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline or your authorization could be challenged before your H-1B petition is filed.
Plan your timeline around the H-1B cap and PERM
For H-1B cap-subject candidates, PepsiCo must register in March for an October 1 start. For Green Card sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed, so start those conversations early.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does PepsiCo sponsor H-1B visas for Accountants?
Yes, PepsiCo sponsors H-1B visas for Accountant roles. Accounting qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines, and PepsiCo has a global workforce that regularly requires employment-based sponsorship. Cap-subject candidates need to be registered in the annual H-1B lottery, with an earliest possible start date of October 1 of the fiscal year the petition is approved.
How do I apply for Accountant jobs at PepsiCo?
You can browse and apply for Accountant positions at PepsiCo directly through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles where H-1B or OPT sponsorship is confirmed before you apply. From there, applications are submitted through PepsiCo's careers portal, and the process typically includes a recruiter screen, a technical finance interview, and a final panel with the hiring manager.
Which visa types does PepsiCo commonly sponsor for Accountant roles?
PepsiCo supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Accountant positions. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose accounting roles qualify under USMCA. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is typically offered after an employee has been in a role for a period of time and the employer initiates the process.
What qualifications does PepsiCo expect for sponsored Accountant roles?
PepsiCo generally looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field for entry-level Accountant roles, with CPA eligibility or licensure increasingly expected at senior levels. Experience with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP is common in their job descriptions, reflecting the complexity of accounting across their manufacturing, distribution, and corporate divisions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a PepsiCo Accountant offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT can authorize work within a few weeks of application. H-1B sponsorship requires lottery registration in March with work authorization starting October 1, a roughly six-month gap. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through DOL typically takes one to two years before the I-140 stage, so it's a longer-term process that runs parallel to your employment.
