Align your credentials with U.S. accounting standards
PepsiCo's finance teams work under U.S. GAAP, so tailor your resume to reflect experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation in that framework before you apply.
Target PepsiCo's divisional finance hubs directly
PepsiCo posts Bookkeeper roles across regional business units like Frito-Lay and Quaker as well as corporate headquarters. Searching by division rather than just company name surfaces openings that broader job boards often miss.
Confirm your visa type matches the role timeline
PepsiCo sponsors both H-1B and TN visas for accounting roles, but each has different lead times. If your OPT expires before an H-1B start date, ask the recruiter early whether a cap-exempt or TN path applies to your situation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring Bookkeeper roles
Not every PepsiCo posting confirms sponsorship upfront. Use Migrate Mate to browse Bookkeeper openings at PepsiCo that are filtered by visa type, so you apply only to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare your PERM documentation early for permanent residency
If PepsiCo moves forward with EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the DOL PERM labor certification process requires detailed work history records. Having transcripts, employment letters, and pay stubs organized before your offer stage saves weeks of back-and-forth.
Clarify CPT and OPT eligibility before your start date
PepsiCo hires F-1 students on CPT and OPT for Bookkeeper roles, but your school's designated school official must authorize CPT before employment begins. Confirm authorization timelines with your DSO as soon as you receive a verbal offer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does PepsiCo sponsor H-1B visas for Bookkeepers?
Yes, PepsiCo sponsors H-1B visas for Bookkeeper roles. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are subject to an annual lottery, timing matters. PepsiCo typically works with immigration counsel to file petitions in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer and I-129 preparation need to be completed well before the March registration window.
How do I apply for Bookkeeper jobs at PepsiCo?
Applications go through PepsiCo's careers portal at pepsicojobs.com. Search for Bookkeeper or accounting roles by location and business unit. You can also browse verified sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate, which filters PepsiCo Bookkeeper roles by visa type so you can identify the right fit before applying.
Which visa types does PepsiCo commonly use for Bookkeeper roles?
PepsiCo sponsors H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for accounting and finance roles. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accounting occupations under USMCA, and they can often be arranged faster than an H-1B cap-subject petition.
What qualifications does PepsiCo expect for Bookkeeper positions?
PepsiCo generally looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field for Bookkeeper roles, along with hands-on experience in general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and accounting software such as SAP or Oracle. Familiarity with high-volume transaction environments common in food and beverage manufacturing strengthens your application significantly.
How do I navigate the visa filing timeline after receiving a PepsiCo offer?
Once you have a written offer, PepsiCo's HR team typically engages outside immigration counsel to assess your visa category and file the appropriate petition with USCIS. For H-1B transfers or TN petitions, processing can take two to four months under standard timelines. Ask your recruiter at the offer stage which visa path applies and whether premium processing is available for your situation.
