How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Postman Visa Sponsorship USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
Postman's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical functions. Software engineers, developer advocates, and product roles aligned with API tooling are your strongest entry points. Focus your application on roles where your technical background matches Postman's core product areas.
Apply during Postman's active hiring cycles
Like most technology companies, Postman tends to ramp hiring in Q1 and Q3. Timing your application ahead of these windows gives you more runway for H-1B cap season preparation and improves your chances of starting the process early.
Highlight API or developer tooling experience prominently
Postman builds tools for developers, so fluency with APIs, REST, or developer workflows is a genuine differentiator. Candidates who speak Postman's product language in their application are more likely to clear early screening for sponsored roles.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Postman openings
Sponsorship history isn't always obvious from a job listing. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and confirm Postman is actively hiring for your visa type before you invest time applying.
Prepare for a multi-stage technical interview process
Postman's hiring process for engineering roles typically includes system design and coding assessments. International candidates should factor interview timeline into their visa planning, especially if OPT expiration or cap deadlines are approaching.

Does Postman sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Postman sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active track record of supporting H-1B petitions, primarily for technical roles. If you're targeting Postman on an H-1B, focus on engineering and product positions where your qualifications align with their specialty occupation requirements. Starting conversations with recruiters before the H-1B cap season is advisable.
Which visa types does Postman sponsor?
Postman sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation workers and supports both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term permanent residence. The company also works with F-1 students on OPT and CPT, making it accessible at multiple stages of an international candidate's career in the U.S.
Which departments or roles at Postman are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Postman is most common in technical functions: software engineering, developer relations, and product management roles tied to their API platform. These positions typically meet H-1B specialty occupation standards. Business, marketing, and operational roles are less frequently sponsored, though it depends on the specific role and your qualifications.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Postman?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Postman roles that come with verified sponsorship history. Rather than sifting through listings that don't disclose sponsorship status, you can filter directly by company and visa type to see which Postman openings are relevant to your situation before applying.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Postman?
The H-1B cap filing window opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date. If you're targeting Postman, aim to have an offer in hand by January or February to give your employer enough lead time. For F-1 OPT holders, confirm your OPT end date and discuss cap-gap eligibility with your international student advisor early in the process.
