Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding School Nurse Jobs at PruittHealth Jobs
Get Your State Nursing License Early
PruittHealth operates across multiple southeastern states, so confirm which state license you need before applying. Reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact can speed this up, but not all states where PruittHealth operates are compact members.
Target Facilities With Active Openings
PruittHealth posts School Nurse roles at the facility level, not just company-wide. Search by state or city to find locations actively hiring, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the regional operations level, not centrally.
Understand the EB-3 PERM Timeline Upfront
EB-3 sponsorship for nurses requires a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before USCIS can process your immigrant petition. That process typically runs 12 to 18 months before your priority date is even set, so factor this into your planning if OPT is your bridge.
Use OPT Strategically During Credentialing
If you are on F-1 OPT, use the post-completion window to complete NCLEX and state licensure while working under your EAD. PruittHealth's F-1 CPT and OPT sponsorship history suggests they will hire nurses in this phase, giving you time to convert to an employer-sponsored Green Card track.
Align Your Resume to Long-Term Care Settings
PruittHealth's School Nurse roles sit within a broader post-acute and long-term care context. Highlight any geriatric, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility experience explicitly. Applicants with only acute hospital backgrounds may face additional screening before an offer with sponsorship is extended.
Browse Sponsoring Employers on Migrate Mate
Identify which PruittHealth facilities are actively sponsoring School Nurses by filtering for visa type on Migrate Mate. Focusing your applications on verified sponsoring locations saves time and puts you in front of hiring managers who already have a filing process in place.

Find School Nurse at PruittHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PruittHealth sponsor H-1B visas for School Nurses?
PruittHealth's primary sponsorship pathway for School Nurses is the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based Green Card, not the H-1B. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery cap and is less common in long-term care settings. If you hold TN status or F-1 OPT, PruittHealth has a history of supporting those categories as a bridge toward permanent residency.
How do I apply for School Nurse jobs at PruittHealth?
Apply directly through PruittHealth's careers portal, filtering by nursing roles and your target state. You can also browse verified School Nurse openings at PruittHealth with confirmed sponsorship history on Migrate Mate, which lets you filter by visa type before you apply. When you reach the offer stage, raise your sponsorship needs early so HR can confirm the facility's current filing capacity.
Which visa types does PruittHealth commonly use to sponsor School Nurses?
PruittHealth sponsors School Nurses through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals who qualify under USMCA healthcare occupations), and employment-based Green Card categories EB-2 and EB-3. The EB-3 route is the most common long-term pathway for nurses, requiring a PERM labor certification filed with DOL followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS.
What qualifications does PruittHealth expect for School Nurse roles?
PruittHealth requires an active RN or LPN license in the relevant state, NCLEX passage, and ideally experience in post-acute, rehabilitative, or long-term care settings. Candidates with pediatric or school health backgrounds have a stronger profile for roles designated as School Nurse, but PruittHealth's broader nursing hiring patterns suggest they evaluate clinical competency and patient load management experience heavily.
How long does the sponsorship and visa process take for a PruittHealth School Nurse role?
If you are already on F-1 OPT, you can begin working immediately while your employer initiates PERM labor certification with DOL, which typically takes 12 to 18 months. After PERM approval, USCIS processes the I-140 immigrant petition, and your priority date must become current before you can adjust status. Total time from offer to Green Card approval commonly runs two to four years.
