Align your credentials to energy infrastructure standards
Quanta prioritizes engineers with experience in transmission, distribution, or renewable energy project delivery. Before applying, document your field experience with specific project types, not just degree credentials, since site-based civil work often matters as much as academic background.
Target field-facing roles over office-only positions
Quanta's Civil Project Engineer openings skew toward construction oversight and project execution on active job sites. Roles tied to physical project delivery tend to be harder to fill domestically, which strengthens the sponsorship case when working with their HR team.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Quanta posts Civil Project Engineer positions across multiple locations and subsidiaries. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for H-1B or OPT-eligible openings so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
Start OPT applications at least three months early
F-1 students targeting Quanta should file the OPT EAD application with USCIS no later than 90 days before graduation. Energy infrastructure project timelines often mean Quanta needs engineers available for specific project start dates, so authorization gaps can cost you the offer.
Ask recruiters directly about H-1B petition timing
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. Confirm early in the offer process whether Quanta's legal team files before or after the lottery, since a delayed offer letter can push your start date back by a full year.
Prepare a PE license roadmap before your interview
Many senior Civil Project Engineer roles at Quanta require or strongly prefer a Professional Engineer license. If you're not yet licensed, come prepared with your EIT status and a state-specific timeline, since some states allow foreign-educated engineers to sit for the PE exam with credential evaluation.

Find Civil Project Engineer at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Civil Project Engineers?
Yes, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsors H-1B visas for Civil Project Engineers. The company operates across energy infrastructure projects nationally and has used H-1B sponsorship to fill engineering roles that require specialized field and project management experience. Sponsorship availability can depend on the specific subsidiary, project location, and whether the role is cap-subject or cap-exempt.
How do I apply for Civil Project Engineer jobs at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
You can browse and apply for Civil Project Engineer roles at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group directly through Migrate Mate, which filters openings by visa sponsorship type. Quanta posts positions across multiple subsidiaries and regions, so searching by role and visa eligibility helps you identify the right opening. Tailor your resume to project delivery experience in transmission, distribution, or renewable energy infrastructure.
Which visa types does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group commonly use for Civil Project Engineers?
Quanta sponsors H-1B visas for full-time Civil Project Engineer hires and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students or recent graduates entering the role. TN visas are also an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations. The right visa type depends on your nationality, current status, and the specific role's requirements.
What qualifications does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group expect for Civil Project Engineer roles?
Quanta typically expects a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering and hands-on experience with energy infrastructure projects such as transmission lines, substations, or utility construction. Project management experience, familiarity with construction drawings, and the ability to work on active job sites are common requirements. An EIT certification or progress toward a PE license strengthens your application for mid-level and senior positions.
How do I time a visa sponsorship offer with Quanta's project hiring cycles?
Quanta's hiring is often tied to project award cycles in the energy sector, so openings can appear and close quickly. For H-1B sponsorship, factor in that cap-subject petitions have an April 1 filing deadline for an October 1 start. If you're on OPT, confirm your EAD expiration date before accepting an offer so Quanta's team can sequence the H-1B petition before your authorization lapses.
