Target AI research and engineering roles
Reflection AI's work in foundational AI systems means most sponsored positions sit in research, model development, and software engineering. Focus your application on roles that align with your technical specialization in machine learning, systems, or applied AI.
Lead with E-3 eligibility if you're Australian
Reflection AI has sponsored the E-3 visa, making it a relevant option for Australian citizens. Flagging your E-3 eligibility early in outreach removes a common employer concern and signals that sponsorship is straightforward compared to H-1B.
Use OPT or CPT as a foot in the door
Reflection AI supports F-1 OPT and CPT, which means early-career candidates on student visas can join without triggering a complex sponsorship process. This is a realistic entry path before pursuing longer-term visa support.
Canadian and Mexican candidates should flag TN eligibility
Reflection AI sponsors TN visas, which are employer-friendly and faster to process than H-1B. If you qualify under a TN-eligible occupation, mention this in your application, it often makes hiring decisions significantly easier for smaller AI companies.
Research open roles by sponsorship type before applying
Not every role at a technology company gets sponsored equally. Filter specifically for positions that match your visa category before applying. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and avoid wasted applications.
Tailor your materials to an AI-first company culture
Reflection AI is building at the frontier of AI research. Hiring decisions favor candidates who demonstrate deep technical depth, not just general software skills. Make your resume and cover letter specific to the research problems the company is publicly known for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Reflection AI sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Reflection AI has not filed H-1B visa petitions in recent history. The company has focused its visa sponsorship on E-3 visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa categories. If H-1B visa sponsorship is important to your situation, it's worth raising the question directly during the interview process, as sponsorship practices at early-stage AI companies can evolve quickly.
Which visa types does Reflection AI sponsor?
Reflection AI sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students on F-1 status. This makes the company accessible to a range of international candidates without requiring H-1B lottery participation, which is a practical advantage for eligible applicants.
How do I find open roles at Reflection AI that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search for Reflection AI directly on Migrate Mate, which aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can confirm which visa types a company actively supports before applying. From there, you can filter open positions by visa category to find roles that match your specific immigration situation, saving time and avoiding applications to roles where sponsorship is unlikely.
Which departments at Reflection AI are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
At an AI-focused technology company like Reflection AI, visa sponsorship is most commonly associated with technical roles, research scientists, machine learning engineers, software engineers, and infrastructure specialists. These positions typically require specialized skills that justify the sponsorship process. Non-technical or generalist roles at early-stage companies are less commonly sponsored.
How do I approach the application process at Reflection AI as an international candidate?
Identify your eligible visa category early and mention it clearly in your application or recruiter outreach. For E-3 and TN candidates especially, stating your eligibility upfront reduces friction significantly, as these categories require less administrative overhead than H-1B. Prepare to demonstrate deep technical expertise relevant to Reflection AI's AI research focus, and be ready to discuss your work authorization timeline and any OPT expiration dates during the interview process.
