Responsibilities
- Bridge the gap: between initial concept and full production by providing design teams with critical insights on manufacturability, assembly, testing, and tooling.
- Lead the in-house development: of innovative and complex prototype manufacturing equipment.
- Design assembly sequences: and establish critical quality parameters to ensure production efficiency.
- Serve as a key stakeholder: in scaling manufacturing lines from concept to high-volume production.
- Leverage virtualization technologies: to accelerate development cycles and mitigate technical risks.
- Diagnose and resolve: complex multi-disciplinary issues across mechanical, electrical, software, and control systems.
- Provide hands-on technical support: and collaborate with external integrators and suppliers as required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of direct work experience in hardware DFM manufacturing within fast-paced environments; background in prototype and production line design, robotics, or automotive strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in mechanical assembly, electrical integration, sealing, torque tools, testing and troubleshooting, automation equipment, control systems, and quality control strategy.
- Strong analytical skills and engineering fundamentals in manufacturing.
- Experience with 3D and 2D CAD, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
