Target engineering and technical roles first
Sandvik's sponsorship activity is concentrated in highly specialized technical functions tied to its mining and industrial equipment business. Focus your search on mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering roles where the case for sponsorship is strongest.
Understand which visa types Sandvik actually uses
Sandvik sponsors H-1B visas, Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, and supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates. Knowing this upfront helps you frame your immigration status clearly when speaking with recruiters.
Mention your visa type early in the application process
Sandvik's HR teams work with international hires across mining and natural resources divisions. Being upfront about your status, whether OPT, TN, or H-1B, signals awareness and reduces friction late in the hiring process.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm Sandvik's sponsorship history before applying
Sandvik has a real sponsorship track record across multiple visa types. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and avoid wasting time on employers who only claim to sponsor.
Position your expertise around Sandvik's core markets
Sandvik serves mining, rock technology, and industrial machining sectors. Candidates who can connect their technical background directly to these industries, in a cover letter or interview, make a stronger case for the investment sponsorship requires.
Plan for Green Card timelines if you're on H-1B
Sandvik has an active track record of supporting both H-1B and permanent residency pathways. If long-term U.S. residency is your goal, ask recruiters early whether the role is eligible for employer-sponsored Green Card support under EB-2 or EB-3.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sandvik sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Sandvik sponsors H-1B visas for qualified international professionals. Sponsorship is most common in technical and engineering roles aligned with its mining and natural resources business. If you're on H-1B or need a new H-1B petition, it's worth confirming sponsorship eligibility directly with the recruiter during the interview process, as availability can vary by role and location.
What visa types does Sandvik sponsor?
Sandvik sponsors H-1B visas, Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories, and supports F-1 students through OPT and CPT arrangements. TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals are also part of their sponsorship mix. This range makes Sandvik accessible to international candidates at multiple career stages, from recent graduates to experienced engineers.
Which roles or departments at Sandvik are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Sandvik tends to follow the company's core technical hiring needs, mechanical engineers, automation specialists, product engineers, and roles supporting mining equipment and rock technology divisions. Sales engineering and field service positions in specialized sectors may also qualify. Roles that require highly specific domain expertise in industrial or mining contexts are generally strongest candidates for sponsorship.
How do I find visa-sponsored jobs at Sandvik?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to browse open roles at Sandvik filtered by verified sponsorship history. Rather than guessing whether a job posting includes sponsorship, Migrate Mate shows you companies with a real track record, including Sandvik, so you can apply with confidence. Search by visa type or industry to narrow results to roles that match your immigration status.
How do I approach the application process at Sandvik as an international candidate?
Start by identifying roles in Sandvik's engineering or technical divisions that align with your background in mining, industrial equipment, or related fields. Be transparent about your visa status early in conversations with recruiters, Sandvik has experience working with international hires and its HR teams are familiar with the sponsorship process. Allow adequate time for employer-side LCA filing and petition preparation if an H-1B or Green Card is involved.
